What travelers are saying
- Jade-Sarah D3 contributionsI had so much fun at The Bee Centre! I've loved bees for ages and had such a great day learning even more about them and getting a taste of what it's like to keep bees (as well as tasting lots of different honey as well, which was delicious). The bees themselves are gorgeous docile girls, there's nothing to be scared of!
Kath & Simon, who run the centre, clearly love their bees and what they do and it shines through every minute of the experience. Nothing better than learning about these amazing creatures from passionate people. It's really made me want to start keeping my own bees! Also, there's a gin distillery next door which makes for a lovely post-beekeeping stop. Each to their own, my favourite either Signature or Solace.

This was because we entered the property, only to be told we had to head back to the gift shop to purchase the tickets.
It would be useful if this was speculated on the entrance (unless we missed that)
Thanks though for the staff inside 😊Written September 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tracey C1 contributionI booked afternoon tea with my daughters and everything was absolutely delicious. On arrival we had a look around the shops and stalls and there was such a variety of items to see. My favourite stall was the cake stall with enormous cakes and muffins which were all reasonably priced and the staff were just lovely. Onto the afternoon tea which was presented so well and was all so fresh and the assortment of cakes and sandwiches were perfect. The soup was also absolutely delicious. Absolute bargain, lovely helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. You have to give this a try. Also remembering the lovely setting in the cafe near the wood burning stove. xxWritten October 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex S3 contributionsLovely scenic walks and beautiful structures. Has a quiet relaxing feeling to the area. I'm not one for meditating but this is certainly a place you feel at peace.Written February 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lozbarrowBolton10 contributionsI absolutely love this place. The beers are varied and plentiful. The staff are just genuinely nice and helpful. Atmosphere is chilled and a great throughout the day and night.
My only downside (and I may get hate for this) is being vegan. The beers are marked vegan and plentiful - good work guys. The food is shocking!!!!! The burger place vegan option is inedible as well as the chicken place. The pizza place (when it's there) is ok, but options minimal. The old pizza place used to be amazing. Please look at this.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gillsmithnicoChorley2 contributionsI went to a wedding here on Saturday or a lovely young couple. They had spent a lot of time and effort making the wedding special.
However I found the service of the staff left a lot to desired. The owners were rude and scruffily dressed most of the staff were dressed in logan printed tee shirts. There was only one young man wearing a shirt and must admit he was the only one that was pleasant. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all.
Wouldn't recommend having your wedding reception here.Written December 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hidden from view by the trees even in winter, but the lack of foliage leads to good views across the reservoir.
Some well made paths to walk along or a trek around the banks of the reservoir for the more adventurous.
