Nice ski ressort for families with many lifts and long runs. Excellent for families with young children.

The lift is just outside the lovely town of Reit im Winkel. There are 3 drag lifts, 2 serving skiers and one for snow tubing. The ski drag lifts are only of interest to beginners- the 2 slopes are fairly short and one is only a blue run. Ok if you just want a bit of exercise or practice, without having to buy expensive lift passes up a cable car. Snow tubing can be great fun for young and old, here there is just one slope ( in Kössen there are 2 ) and the only option is to go up on your own, or with a small child with you, get dragged up the slope, automatically decouple at the top and then just slide down. You can‘t really steer, or slow yourself down, just enjoy the ride. When you get to the bottom get yourself out of the ring promptly, and leave the area, the next snow tuber is coming down shortly and could slide further than you, and therefore into you. Should a collision occur, depending on speed, broken ankles would be a possibility. Look out for small children! My kids wear ski helmet, partly as it can be cold, however mainly for safety reasons. A Bike helmet would also be fine. There are limited facilities. Half way up the ski slope there is a hut, at the bottom of the slopes, there was a kiosk selling hot drinks and a couple of portaloos, so fairly basic. Have fun, stay safe!

We took the clan to Reit I'm Winkl and tried out Hausberg for are numerous ski hire and lesson requirements.
Kinder Kurse for our four little ones who had never ski'd before was amazing. They all came back with smiles and had managed to learn more than we had ever dreamed, hitting blue slopes together!!!

Lovely friendly service. The adult private tuition was great too.

See you all next year for sure!!

    Much love!

    Pratt clan.

The Klettersteig is B/C difficulty and can be challenging for adults who are short(<1.70m) and/or who are not physically fit. Steig is wel maintained and can be climbed under the hour without rushing it. At the top you have a nice view over Reit im Winkl and the valley.
We don’t have a lot experience with klettersteiging but found this one fun to do with a good mix between the harder and easier parts
