What travelers are saying
- michelle f5 contributionsWe went to Rancho Texas for the western evening. 15/03/24
We were a party of 5 including two elderly grandparents.
After a nightmare journey there with a coach full of very drunk holiday makers the evening was fantastic.
The show , the food and the amazing staff couldn’t do enough to make sure you had the best evening.
Thanks to all the staff but especially Pocahontas who was so helpful sorting out taxi back to costa teguise so we didn’t have to endure the coach again !

The path is very easy to navigate and although you need to wear decent footwear it isn't that difficult or uneven. I personally wouldn't wear flip flops as there was loose stones and it's quite dusty.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Barry P2 contributionsI've already written an review while was on holiday at the hotel, I'd stayed 7 nights, while there experience much friendly staff and helpful, on night if arrival I'd turned up 11.30pm, was much ready for sleep and hungry, with ring late staff had an bag with sandwiches, fruit and biscuits which was good start, read much comments on here before booking and alot people was putting bad comments on the rooms, okay like I've mentioned before rooms little dated, but very clean....I'm an early person so next day went for walk around hotel, there was plenty cleaners from outside to inside of hotel making sure that all is ready for when we wake up, from entrance to the canteen so updated and clean, food was highly presented from breakfast to lunch snd dinner, breakfast was mainly same but that's breakfast, had choices from cereals to fruit, to English breakfast, lunch and evening meals had variety from day to day, and also had cooks doing special meals separately to food provided which was wgich was meals that locals cooked, as they cooking meal for you cooked from scratch and was passionate to explain the meal from individual ingredients to final meal, within 7 nights there this was 3 night each time different cook different meal....I've worked in the food industry behind the scenes, time and effort thr cooks put in before you even wake up is more then you know....at this point your thinking hang on I've paid all inclusive so I should get it, when pay for something we get a service yes, but give much respect on a person, your in the pool or in the shade coming down with cold beer, chef's has started from 6 in the morning to do preparation to cooking in high heats from ovens and sun, on each meal from breakfast to evening, chef's came out and made sure that food was highly presented and checked surfaces was clean throughout out times we was using them while customer getting food on sides, also much respect to stsff that ensured tables being cleared and cleaned for next customer, I have one slight issue here I came as single person on couple times when going to get seconds came back and table was cleared okay was slightly annoying but with this small issue will not over cast all the positive that staff has given, on eating food so many times heard people saying can't even speak English, most the staff a a good level of English...its not just English language that staff need to know at least, English, French, German, and in language Spanish so think about it the staff need to know at least 4 languages , people that complain about how much Spanish do you know, same as pool bar staff.....they was speaking more then one language but made much effort to speak language of customer, all pool bar staffs was very polite in manner and understanding other language's, all over view....I've been many places to have holidays like us all, do like all inclusive makes much easier......for my experience here from staff cleaners to chef's very friendly and passion in work they do, full hotel from entering, hallways to room very clean and tidy, room had every needed okay like said its dated but that didn't bother me as most important thing to me that it's clean I'm here to enjoy what place can offer local and trips to enjoying hotel club.. room is somewhere to return to and sleep, and need to say there is an tourist information desk about trips and local events, staff was very helpful on information what's to offer on trips and local there is plenty to do and see local and trips....they wasn't pushing anything on me...was happy to give information what is available for our pleasure while they, all staff in their own duties made my time here pleasurable much enjoyable in relaxed and many happy memories, I'd give thus definitely 4 star hotel, would I come again definitely,
To all staff Thank you all for making my holiday a memorable one,
Barry,

I paid for 7 visits in which I could use all facilities if I wanted, I only used the pool. It was delightful, landed pool. - kikoDuszlakBoston, MA97 contributionsOn the footpath between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, after about 1.5 km, this section called Barranco del Quiquere cliff is about 800 m long and offers secluded bays, sunbathing areas and hidden caves. It is only advisable to go here during low tide.
The Barranco del Quiquere area is also particularly popular with naturists.
Like most areas on the south-east coast, the Barranco del Quiquere usually has only a few waves.
From the top of the cliffs, a staircase and to the north and south other, more risky climbing passages are leading down to the water, where you can find and choose your quiet and more or less hidden spot for your stay.
Entering the water partly is not very easy and the wearing of bathing shoes is rather recommended because of the occasional sea urchins.
To get to the Barranco del Quiquere by car, turn off the road between the villages of Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero after about 1.5 km on the unpaved road towards the sea. ( keep straight towards sea intil you reach carpark). From there you will see a path that takes you down to the pedestrian trail that connects Puerto del Carmen with Puerto del Calero and a sign indicating you arrived at Barranco del QuiQuere. You can either walk around towards the little cove and head left where you will find some nice spots to swim at low tide or head up the stairs (go left towards Puerto del Carmen) untill you find a steep set of stairs that takes you down to some great swimming and sunbathing areas.
No sunbeds or umbrellas, no toilets, no trash bins and also no first aid station, only crystal clear water, pure nature and often also hardly other visitors awaits you there.Written October 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Decent snack facility with seating area for the waiting around parts…
The kids in our group did 2 rounds, they wanted to go again!
We travelled there by taxi, it was awkward to get to by road, but easy return.Written April 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our pre-booked taxi and driver were waiting at the airport to drive us to our hotel. We stayed at the Lanzarote Village Hotel, which was well located, clean, modern, had two swimming pools and a good selection of food at its restaurant. The beaches were all within walking distance but one would need a car to visit the volcanoes that were visible around us. You wouldn't need a car to enjoy the warm and beautiful sunsets on the hills of the Mirador Playa Grande.Written January 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
