Incredibly interesting guided tour of the medieval library and other historic buildings nearby. Marjorie was an excellent guide who brought the whole place to life for us.

Splendid museum with a wide range of exhibits. Really great Roman, Greek, and Egyptian artefacts. One beef - didn't mind putting my rucksack in a locker - but needing a pound coin to use it that wasn't refunded. C'mon. Nobody carries pound coins these days and charging for the lockers - no.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour. Aiden is a very knowledgeable tour guide and explained everything perfectly.
After the tour you have plenty of time to go back, checking out the prison cells and rooms to take photos at your leisure.

We visited here today, and we all had the best time!! There is so much to see and is enjoyable for all ages. The building is amazing and although it was busy it was manageable with two young children 2 and 4.

Big shout out to the member of staff who entertained the kids on a few occasions and made them paper boats, which they really enjoyed. Didn't manage to get his name but he deserves a shout out.

    We will be visiting again!

A monument to the British Imperial mania for collecting things, for better or for worse. Only museum I know that has a 19th Century Samurai sword sitting next to a Soviet made automatic rifle.

Stunning university in a stunning city full of history. Had a chance to visit this this university while taking a day trip away from London and we were left astonished.

We booked online, collected our audio guide from the visitor centre after using the toilets there, and really enjoyed wandering around this historic college and cathedral. The guide was very informative and went into just enough detail to be interesting but not too much for our attention to wander. I’m not a HP fan so have no idea of the connections to the stories, but the history and beauty of the architecture was captivating. Luckily, we took an early tour at 1030 and there weren’t too many other people around. The cathedral was stunning and the gentleman guide we spoke to there very informative and happy to point out things of importance to us. The shop was well stocked with quality goods. The memorial garden was being replenished ready for the new season and I can imagine it would look even more attractive later in the year. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant tasting and tour. Tiny distillery but packed with charisma!
Enjoyed listening to the information about the process and tasting the results. So glad we had walked!

I visited a few of the colleges while I was in Oxford and this was my favourite. How lucky are the students who get to spend their days wondering around these beautiful buildings, cloisters and gardens. Imagining having a deer park in your backyard!
There was still a lot of autumn colour when I visited and I took my time wondering the extensive grounds, the meadow and Fellows Garden. The deer were a delight to watch as were the many squirrels and birds in the gardens.
Staff on the gate were friendly and helpful and the entry fee, around £10 was well worth it.

We visited on a chilly February morning. Entry was £8 with gift aid and spoiler alert, incredible value for money!
Given the time of year, we pretty much had the gardens to ourselves for most of the visit.
Provided with a map, it was very easy to navigate. The gardens themselves are a pleasure to wander through, laid out very well. Although the flowers were not in bloom and the trees were bare, we enjoyed seeing the form and structure of the trees and the whole garden has such a lovely “mature” feel to it. Kudos to the team keeping it so well maintained.
The glasshouses are even better. The walk through the rainforest and the pond houses were luscious, with plants hanging down you have to duck under or carefully walk past. Of special note are the numerous and wondrous pitcher plants. There are information boards scattered throughout that are brief but informative and worth the read. The only thing we would have liked to see is the English names for the trees and plants outside in the garden. Many of the cards only have the Latin name of the plant, and whilst we appreciate it’s Oxford, not everyone is fluent in Latin and it would certainly add to the experience knowing what we were looking at.
The toilets were aged but clean. The staff were helpful and it’s only a small shop with the regular items you’d expect but with a nice selection of books specific to the gardens we enjoyed browsing on the way out.
Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience and definitely worth the short walk from the city centre to enjoy a break from the indoor attractions of your visit.
