What travelers are saying
- IAN DWigan, UK19,629 contributionsWent on my own and to be honest a little disappointed. Unless you carry a large card nothing in English in any of the rooms of the citadel. Rooms inside quite Spartan and could be better. For me the views from the citadel are the highlights of my visit.Written August 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA16,858 contributionsStroll all the streets, do some shopping and eating, then climb the hill and stroll through some more streets. One of the prettiest towns in France, cute little houses painted in lovely pastels.Written October 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marie MDublin, Ireland1 contributionStunningly beautiful coastal town overlooked by historic Fortifications. One of the main points to stop was to visit Antonio Machado tomb, one of the best spanish writters.
This tomb has also been a visit point for sapnish republicans, as Antonio Machado had to exile during spanish civil war due to his sexual condition.
It's always plenty of messages, flowers and republicans flags.Written April 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IAN DWigan, UK19,629 contributionsThe views from the windmill are beautiful and well worth seeing. The hard part is finding a sign and path leading up to the windmill. - Thomas VOakland, CA16,858 contributionsThere are metal picture frames on stands in various lovely spots around town. Kids love to climb up on them and look through. Adults use them to frame photos. Sure it's a gimmick, but it's fun and this is a lovely town.Written October 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
