After landing at Venice Airport, our group of four drove to this hotel and stayed the first night of the trip in Italy in late June, 2023. The reason we selected this hotel because it is very close to Lake Karersee (Lago Di Carezza), 3 minutes driving or 15 minute walking. The hotel is family operated with the son as the eighth generation (hard to believe) and manager who speaks English and is very friendly. After checking in, we had a pre-ordered authentic Italian dinner cooked by mother and we really enjoyed the food. The room is clean and spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is free included in room. Overall we had a very pleasant experience here, very nice food and room and extremely friendly host. We stayed only one night and did not do any hiking in this area. If you like to see sunrise and sunset of Lake Karersee, we highly recommend this hotel.

Staying here is a special experience, especially if you enjoy the meals provided in a full or half board plan. The mother is the cook. We were cared for in a very personal way. Rooms are small, and the plumbing is older - e.g. separate faucets for hot and cold in the shower and sink sometimes make you feel you are receiving a mixture of both rather than a moderate water temperature overall. The location is beautiful. So charming that it left other places on our trip unable to compete.

Being the only available affordable hotel near the Paolina chairlift, we booked a family room. It was a lárge room with in fact a separate room for the kids! Very spacious. The 4 course menu was really excellent, and all freshly made. The second day also completely different. A great selection of (local) wines is available too, starting at €20. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well, with fresh forest fruit. The only thing that needs some improvement was the bathroom/shower. A simple new Hans Grohe showerhead would be enough at first.

Adler hotel, which happened to be chosen by us, completely by the chance turned out to be an exceptional one for our family. As many have written here, the place is a family run hotel for over 100 years. It is a cosiest place, where every single detail is treated with love of the owners. I have sentiments for the places which cherish its' tradition and history and so I couldn't miss it in this hotel: paintings of local surroundings, family photos, dried flowers, freshly ironed tablecloths. All around is crystal sparkling clean. Breakfast is nice and fresh, eggs served were delicious. Dinner deserves a dedicated topic, as it is great and very precise cooking. We didn't expect such a culinary performance, to be honest. We never got to meet the Mother of the family who did all our evenings so much anticipated, but we understood she was behind all those delicious meals. Would you love a panacota with local trees' pines? It is soooo good! Location is just great. 5 min away by car from Carezza ski resort where we spent 3 full days of skiing. Sauna was always ready upon our return, to recover after our long outdoors activity. Last, but not least, the atmosphere, Werner (the sun and the hotel manager) and his family created for the New Year night. It was friendly, engaging and making nice mingling with one another. Werner is an exceptional host, very nice and helpfull person. So, once planning your vacation in Dolomites, don't miss this place!

Words cannot describe the charm and the atmosphere of this hotel, but I will do my best. We booked this hotel as a stopping point along the grande strada for the evening. Located in the niche of a valley, a pretty river straddles the property boundary. We quickly learned it’s a hotel steeped in family history, tales of its past depicted in old photographs and paintings which adorn the walls. We were greeted at reception by the father of the family that owned the hotel, an incredibly charming man who checked us in etc. Coming in off season, we were one of the only guests, so we caught him quietly reading his newspaper in the bar. He made me melt, bless him. We later met the son who has equal qualities of his father, a fantastic host. It is a spotless and immaculately presented hotel, and there is an overwhelming sense of individuality and pride in its care and ownership, with attention to detail which brings with it a level of warmth and coziness. It’s rare you find something as unique as this these days. We gladly accepted their invitation to dinner in their restaurant which did not dissapoint. We never met her but hear the mother does the cooking, with produce that she foraged from the forest in the day. On that day there was just one 4-course menu, which was fine for us and we were more than happy going on their recommendation. A great way to ‘eat local’. The food is simple, honest home cooking and impeccable. We also had a great recommendation on the wine which was correctly priced. The bar is incredibly cosy, with timber panelling, comfortable stools, bunker seating and ambient lighting. Again so cosy, comfortable and well kept. This is one place we will never forget, and we wish more places would be like this.

We spent 2 weeks in the hotel. The whole atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Diners were highlights of the day. The sauna and steambath helped relaxing after our hikes. The breakfastbuffet was exactly, included everything we expected.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 19 at the end of our trip to the Dolomites. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the hotel is in a great location - a very short drive to Lake Carezza. We visited twice - once in the evening and one early morning where the water is the stillest. One night we ate in their restaurant (it is a set menu which changes every day) and every course was delicious, we were even offered seconds! Breakfast was very nice too. Unfortunately the weather was not great when we were there so we couldn't take advantage of local mountain bike hire or the many trails leading from the hotel but we would love to go back another time to do some more activities. Beds were comfy and the wifi was good. Thank you very much for having us!

Even before arrival there was good communication with host. Always try to let your host/hotel know when to expect you. Our morning flight was cancelled and could only arrive late afternoon. I informed the host and he advised that we should eat dinner along the way as the restaurant closes at 830pm. In the end we made it before 8 and so was able to partake of the superb food prepared by them. It was not peak tourist season so it was nice to have fewer people. We parked our car on site with ease. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Checkin was quick. The room was very clean though a tad small. But it was comfortable. It was also quiet even though the river was raging outside. So the windows do cut out the sound very well. The tv had English channels. Wifi was adequate. It was a pleasant stay though for the price we had expected more. But it seems this is the kind of price expected in the Dolomites. There are stairs so you will have to lug the luggage up. The room was a bit small. Same with the bathroom. There was just enough room to open the luggage and still not trip over things. There were no coffee and tea facility but the café serves good food and coffee.

We have spent a week in hotel Adler. As it was our 1st visit to the Dolomites, we appreciated tips for hiking and other activities from our knowledgeable and always friendly hosts. The location is perfect for hiking around Rosengarten (5min to cable car) and Latemar (trail starting directly from hotel). We occupied an family room on the 2nd floor and the sound of the nearby road was covered by the sound of roaring water from the a mountain steam running next to the hotel. We received tips for great photography spots in the surrounding and it was possible to adjust also the mealtimes to catch the best light. Dinners were seasonal and had great home-cooked taste. Vegetarians might want to give a warning ahead of arrival. We only missed vegetables at breakfast. Parking capacities were sufficient during our stay, but in high season maybe rather book in advance. Then again there are multiple Tesla chargers installed. The hotel offers a sauna. When we wanted to go to swimming , a visit to a spa of a nearby hotel was promptly arranged for us. It was within 5 min drive. Overall our trip to the Dolomites was thanks to hotel Adler very pleasant and relaxing.
