I was only in this hotel for about 9 hours but I found it to be very nice. The decor was unusual and bright. The room was very good and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a reasonable size with an efficient shower. The air con worked very well and was quiet. Breakfast was good with lots of options and the lady serving there was very helpful. There was a swimming pool and fitness room. Location is good and near to Parc de Fou.

Stayed overnight while attending the Puy Du Fou night show. Location was great - only 15 mins away. 5 mins to commercial area of Les Herbiers with Hyper U, Mc Donalds, Buffalo grill etc.... Spacious, clean rooms. Good breakfast & friendly staff

Very tired hotel with a lack of staff. The restaurant was closed, the pool was dirty and the staff couldn’t open a bottle of cremant. Many breakfast items had run out by 8.45. Really wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Another hotel on our 3* Logis tour - sited just off the N160 [the road up to the windmills] on the outskirts of Les Herbiers [a boring rather industrial sort of town not inspiring! dont waste your time there] The hotel was really well managed with extremely helpful staff. They printed off a copy of the shows for the following day at Puy du Fou and even wrote a suggested order of times to see as many of them as possible in a day . The hotel stands in its own spacious grounds with large car parking area. In summer the pool is set in a nice sheltered part of the garden and beyond there are tennis courts. There is a small gym in the hotel. They cater for families and there is a table in the foyer for children to play at. Our room was compact but very nicely refurbished on the first floor with a view over the garden, air conditioning had been added. [a double chambre superieure at 88 euro.]The large bed was extremely comfortable and there were nice little extras in the room. There appears to be four different prices for four seasons and four grades of room. Generally the soundproofing was quite good, some noise from people in the corridor, really didnt hear any road noise Good standard of bedding, towels etc. Unfortunately no safe or fridge in the room which was a minus. Note if you are going to Puy du Fou and going to be back late make sure you take that day's key pad number as the hotel is accessed by three electronic gates that are closed after 10pm - I always put the number up on my sunvisor in the car so as not to have a panic late at night. Once back in the car park the hotel night entrance is at the side of the hotel again using the key pad. It is easy to exit the hotel via the main gate exits onto the D160 [it is a dual carrigeway so you have to turn right, go down to the roundabout and retrace your route towards Puy du Fou up the hill past the windmills]. When returning from Puy du Fou the via same route there is a slip road on the N160 back into the hotel via the other gate. If you come from the town side you have to weave your way down several side roads - tricky at night when it is dark to see the hotel signs. It does make the hotel very secure which as we had a car full was very reassuring. The food was excellent - breakfast, as all logis a little pricey, [10 .50euro ] included home made cake, pancakes as well as the usual logis offering of continental including croissants, cold meats, cereals, fruit etc. Boil your own eggs! Breakfast is completely self service. Dinner in the Orchidee restaurant was a treat - gifted chef - a lot of fish on the menu and some fancy dishes well presented. There is a specials board and we had the set Puy du Fou menu, 3 courses at 20 .50 euro - really good value. They encourage children to try small portions from the adult menu [9 euro] not sure how well that would work if you have fussy eater. The children we saw were tucking in with gusto! On cinescene show nights the hotel offers an earlier start time for dinner. As a carnivore my husband felt there was not enough red meat on the menu to his liking! Overall we thought it a great place to stay to see the show and would definitely stay there again.

This is a cheap but comfortable hotel. The room was large and well equipped. The only issue was we told the restaurant was full. However, when we came back to the hotel after eating out, there were hardly any one eating.

Very clean, children loved the pool and the beds were comfortable. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant. We looked at the menu and realised that there were no vegetarian options so asked if they could make something like pasta. The staff responded with a clear no - “pas de tout.” Most places at least try to accommodate!

Great location just outside Les Herbiers, in the Vendée countryside, 10-15 min. drive from the park. Very friendly, attentive and dedicated staff. If you booked seats for the Cinéscénie show, just leave the park around 6pm, book a table for dinner at their restaurant (The Orchid) around 7pm, and they'll do the rest. Excellent food, tasty and very well presented, and great service so that you can enjoy the dinner and leave on time for the night show around 9pm without any stress. I must admit I was positively impressed by the efficiency and customer friendly attitude of the staff. The hotel has family rooms to offer + swimming pool.

We stayed for one night during a two day visit to the park. This hotel is ideal for any wanting to stay nearby. Excellent location in relation to the park (10-15 min drive) Stunning scenery right over the Vendee region. All of what you need for a 1-2 night stay, the rooms aren't anything extravagant, just the essentials to a comfortable stay. Wifi and TV's in each room, clean and modern bathrooms and a very comfy bed. We had our evening meal and breakfast there and both were excellent. Breakfast is a buffet option with huge variety and you can have as much as you want! Highly recommend this place to any looking for a good standard hotel to stay whilst visiting Puy Du Fou

Stayed here as many other reviewers do to go to Puy du Fou. Initial impression is of a hotel stuck in the 1970's. Despite the rather loud colour schemes the room was very clean and comfortable - we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was rather poor for the money - coffee was in a flask and I suspect that no beans were harmed during it's making.......Anyway, staff were very attentive and pleasant and very accommodating of young children. We dined in the restaurant, which had an interesting sounding menu, which unfortunately did not live up to expectations - trying too hard perhaps? My 3 star review reflects the fact that I would try an alternative next time, but would be happy enough staying here if nothing else was available.

Stayed whilst visiting Puy du Fou . Excellent hotel , only minutes away from the Park , clean , cool , modern rooms , friendly staff & our very hungry grandson couldn't fault the extensive breakfast . Ate at Les Orchidées in the evening , very good indeed . Perfect except it was very , very hot & a fridge would have been nice .
