Situated on the green hills of Selva di Fasano in the territory of the trulli and the Itria-Valley, in the centre of the 3 provinces Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, the 4 star resort Sierra Silvana is imbedded in a green oasis of rest, ideal for small and great events. It disposes of 127 rooms, 10 of them superior, all with plenty of light and fitted with balcony or terrace, distributed to 5 buildings, imbedded in a wonderful Mediterranean garden, where you can find as well 7 trulli. Each of the pleasant furnished rooms is fitted with bath tub, hairdryer, telephone, minibar, air conditioning, TV LED, Wi-Fi. In the main building you find the vast hall, furnished with comfortable willow sofas; the bordering bar with great windows opens a view to the splendid swimming pool. In the elegant restaurant you can enjoy dishes of highest quality, created by a accurately selected team of staff, who were vice-champions of the world at the „Culinary World Cup“ 2006. The vast conference room „Salone della Luna“ disposes of 350 seats, 8 smaller rooms can be connected to offer space for small conferences from 10 to 150 persons. Bordering on the swimming pool you find the magnificent pavilion in the liberty style of South Italy in which pour cascades of bougainvilleas, an ideal place for gala dinners. A few steps away from the hotel there is located the “Casina Municipale”, which disposes of 1 000 seats and vast exposition areas. The guests can reach in 15 minutes the private beach of the hotel Del Levante in Torre Canne. Sun umbrellas and deckchairs are free available. The hotel is situated in the centre of a territory with a vast artistic and cultural interest. Nearby are located Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, the white city Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, the zoosafari, the exvacation of Egnazia, the grottoes of Castellana and the numerous masserias (ancient Apulian estates). One of them is the famous Masseria Torre Coccaro, a 5-star luxury hotel of the same group, about ten minutes away . Here you can enjoy in the restaurant of the subterranean oil mill a superb atmosphere. Furthermore the Aveda-Spa centre and the Coccaro Golf Club allow pleasant moments of relax.

Went with a tour group. Fabulous hotel. Can't fault the service. The rooms are big and views beautiful. The pool was wonderful on the hot days. Went for a walk in the surrounding area which was quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Vicki Davison

Hotel's Favorite
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel Sierra Silvana. Since the time of arrival to our departure the service was excellent and so was the level of care. From the personnel at the reception to the waiters and bar manager we felt that we were very well looked after. Antonio, the bar manager was professional and super fun, which is what you need when you are on holiday. We had guests one day and he made sure that we had a great time. The team in reception asked the hotel bakery to prepare a cake at a very short notice (half an hour!). Honestly I can’t praise them enough. The waiters in the restaurant were also so kind and always smiling. One little recommendation would be for the owner to install a safe in the rooms. It is not helpful to having to leave documents or valuables into the hotel safe as you then have to ask for a key, etc. clients want a safe handy in their room. Also pls add two more daily trips for the beach shuttle! There is a big gap between the 12:30 trip and the 18:00 o’clock trip! We will definitely come back!

We booked this hotel with Italcamel Travel Agency in Italy. We paid for a four-star hotel but the Sierra Silvana Hotel (Selva di Fasano) is far from being a four-star hotel: no service, a family canteen, old-fashioned and poorly-equipped rooms, 70s decor. We also had to check out one day earlier and to pay for another room closed to the airport to be able to catch our plane as there was no public transport and taxi fares were very expensive. When we booked, Italcamel never said that this location was poorly served. A hotel to be avoided at all costs.

Response from , Proprietario at Sierra Silvana Hotel
Responded Aug 26, 2023
Dear Miss, we are truly sorry that your staying wasn’t like you expected but your problem with the travel agency shouldn’t go against us. Your feedback doesn’t surprise us because as soon as you got here you started complaining about everything: the distance from our hotel to the sea or to other cities (that is not true since we are from 5 to 25 km away from the most important places to visit), the cost of the taxi (that is not up to us). You were convinced from the beginning that our hotel wasn’t like you expected and didn’t have the facilities you wanted (like the gym or the SPA) because the travel agency gave you wrong information about our hotel (but this is not our problem). We did our best to make you enjoy your staying: we listened to your complains with patience, we changed your room and we also gave you the opportunity to go to the beach with our shuttle bus without any extra cost, but all you wanted was a refund by us even if we don’t have nothing to do with the reservation you made with the travel agency. You also wanted to stay to our hotel at the beach without paying any difference (we want to specify that the mentioned hotel is not in a central location). At that point we spoke with the agency that confirmed to us that the description made was coherent with what you found and they also informed us that in case of problems you should have complained to the agency and not to us. Last but not least, how can you complain about the food if you never ate in our restaurant? Also, the pictures you posted only show the bad aspects or the hidden spots of the hotel. Kind regards Valentino Valentini Manager

This hotel is lovely, the rooms are clean and comfortable with a balcony or terrace. No kettle or English channels on TV. The staff were a little surly at times. Couldn't comment about food, as we were on a tour we had a set menu and this wasn't great. Asked one night if I could buy something off the menu but the menu they brought wasn't the restaurant menu. We asked about the shuttle bus to the beach but we couldn't get on it as we were on the tour, we could hire our own at €60. If you go you need a car as it is in the middle of nowhere. If you take yourself the hotel is nice but you will need a car unless you want to walk and or sit about all day.

Very mixed feelings about this place. Some good & bad features. With better management, it could be much better. On the negative side, the Dining Room staff seem dozy & under-trained. Breakfast buffet limited & unimaginative - tinned and in-skin fruit, but no fresh fruit salad. The toaster was basically unuseable. The two coffee machines are OK but very temperamental. The only hot food is ruined bacon, hard-boiled eggs and concrete-like scrambled eggs. THe fruit juices are not fresh & very watered down. On the positive side, most of the food at dinner was excellent, including the pasta first courses. They're a bit shy of vegetables, but the salads are nice. The rooms, in two-storey blocks around the grounds, are large, clean & comfortable, but there's only one tiny lift in each block. The massive swimming pool is a great plus in the hot weather. Sometimes the bar stays open, sometimes it doesn't. Twice-weekly "music" evenings. One evening was ruined for some guests because of extremely loud music from the hotel/ restaurant next door into the early hours. Apparently this is a regular thing. The hotel apologises but can't/ won't do much about it. So - overall - a very mixed bag.

saving grace of a holiday ruined by bad weather. Whilst one might expect to use the aircon in the South of Italy in late May, the heating was needed, and worked a treat. Rooms were kept extremely clean, even under the bed - I dropped something and had to go under, scrupulously clean. As was the entire hotel. beds were very comfortable (and I do like/need a hard bed) for my back, but all went very well. The pool and area looked lovely but far too cold to think about using it. The grounds are kept very well too. Breakfast was the usual italian display of cakes, but they also catered for the UK contingent with some bacon and scrambled eggs, and the normal platters of cold meats and some cheeses for other european nations. We also had half board, and had a 3 course meal every night which was always delicious., and never cold. we also got receipts for our bar bills, so very easy to add up what we had to pay at the end of the holiday. the hotel is in a lovely small village, but if not in a tour group, you will need a car to get around anywhere. There seems to be a very good restaurant next door, but it hadn't opened for the season when we were there.

We stayed at this hotel for a week.Food good, friendly helpful staff and very clean facilities. The cocktails are a must! My only criticism is that the decor is a little dated but all in all a good place to stay in this beautiful part of Italy.

Although the hotel is a bit older, it was a very nice place. It has a nice pool and playground for children. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. The food in te restaurant was good and of good quality, breakfast was ok as well. The hotel is a bit remote, so if you travel individually you will need a car to get there.

Hotel is isolated so if you don't have a car expensive to get anywhere. Rooms are alright, bathrooms are large. Found that the breakfasts are very adequate, and the entire hotel staff are very accomodating. Would consider staying here again, however due to its location would have to give it seriuos thought before committing.

Had a week's stay in September .The rooms are good and are separate from the main reception and restaurant block ,no problem The restaurant was well run and breakfast was ok ,if a little ordinary .The bar is excellent ,look out for the Barman ! . Rooms are very clean and the bathroom was fine however the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the AirCon is preset - WHY ! Outside pool was very cold in September .BUT beware - if you want to get plenty of sleep it might not be for you .Our group arrived 9pm on Sunday and after a long journey and a late dinner we were treated to VERY LOUD BOOMING music from a building near by ,which eventually stopped at 2am ..The same occurred the next Friday and Saturday .Also at the weekend the nearby roads get turned into a race track for Motorcyclists who ride around at breakneck speed .Nice enough hotel but you have been warned -getting plenty of zzzz''s ain't easy .
