Family run hotel with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and cosy rooms. Lunch in the garden under the pine trees with a glass of wine. A short walk to the promenade and restaurants of Cecina or to the endless pine forest that borders the sea to the south. Not our first visit to this hotel and hopefully not our last.

Me and my family had an amazing time at Hotel Massimo. We stayed for four days. The place is quite and peaceful and it is located at 5min walk from both beach and town center. Parking is available on-site. Service is just great. All the staff was very kind and professional. The hotel restaurant features delicious breakfast with home-made pastries and tasty and healthy lunch that can be enjoyed by the beautiful garden and/or patio. Excellent coffee & great aperitives are served from the bar. Rooms are spacious and tidy, featuring a small balcony and air conditioning. Beds are super comfortable! Also, they provided us with a very useful kit for our dog which included a pillow, a blanquet and eating/drinking cups. Last but not least, a special thank goes to Massimo, hotel owner and host, who took care of us together with its staff (also suggesting us some of the best eating spots of the area!). I would definetely recommend this hotel and for sure we will visit again!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights this past week, and found it very satisfactory. The location near the beach and town were ideal. The building and rooms were clean and quite comfortable, and the hotel grounds were neat and well-tended. The entire staff was exceptionally kind and considerate through our stay; from reception, to the breakfast servers and the housekeeping team. The positive business attitude was most refreshing, as was the genuinely warm hospitality shown to us by all.

The decorations of the hotels are so beautiful, everything well stand and thoughtful, it really makes you feel at your own Italian home. Bravo! The personal of the hotel is very attentive and always wear as smile to everything they do , it's really welcoming and helpful. It makes you feel good and welcomed. The owner of the hotel R. Massimo is always around asking if everything is good and how were we served, I found it very thoughtful and nice from him really nice! Food amazing and above all great location! The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 is that the beds are a bit hard and sleeping is s bit uncomfortable, but the cleaning is excellent and the rooms were top in our 5 days there. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.

We ask to stay four more days as we fell in love with this hotel. The breakfast in the garden is wonderful, it's cool and quiet under palm trees and pine trees. We noticed the small things such as fresh water every single day on our room, even toothpaste kits and shaving kits. The ladies who served breakfast watch that the color of the plate for men are blue and those for ladies are pink!! In covid times you must order your breakfast the day before and whenever you need more of something the will serve you! Don't miss this hotel, there is a marvelous walk through a cool pine wood before you reach the beach...we will be back in June 22 :-)

Hotel Massimo got stuck in the past. Its old, it needs to be seriously upgraded. The beds are so old you are sleeping on the bedsprings, realy uncomfortable! Everything has turned from white to yellow. If you want to shower you’re also cuddling with the toilet, because there is so limited space. They need to change the water temperature because you can shower cold or so hot you’re getting burned. We booked a hotel room for 2 persons, we’ve got a room with 3 beds(not that bad) but also in the middle of the room a big baby bed, when i told the reception they said they would take it away, they never did, so we were stuck with a baby bed in the middle of the room for 2 days. The breakfast is ok, if the owner leaves you alone and if he and his wife would stop touching all the food with their bare hands. Dont really get the 10 variations of cakes in the morning, maybe invest in good fruit juices instead of these sugarwaters with fruit taste. The fresh fruit and eggs were nice. Even though the staff is ok and helpfull the owner is very pushy, he doesnt speak any english but loves to send you to restaurants of friends, with a big italian story but we dont understand. On booking.com it says the hotel rooms are sound proof, there definately NOT! You here everything from everywhere. Also it says they have parking, they have parking for max 5 (small) cars, and everywhere else parking is really busy, so you’re atleast looking for a parking for 1 hour. We’ve paid 140 euro’s per night, for what this is, its really overpriced. We never coming back.

Response from Mariagrazia649, Proprietario at Hotel Massimo

Dear Isabel, our hotel is an historic hotel, and we are really proud of it, also if we remodernized most of it. We are sorry that probably we forgot to leave the baby bed inside your room, you could remind us witout any problems.... and for water temperature, you shoud tell us...in order to repair it if needed. About parking slots, generally there is no problem yhere and you can park free everywhere , but you can understand that in mid-August there is a lot of people at the sea and any sea-side city in Italy it's overcrowded with people and cars. Said this, the owner loves you to be happy in the hotel and also outside, that's why he gives always advices about good places where to go and eat in the nearby... However, we will make treasure of your advice and check your room, which is however a triple room with a good price in mid-August. Thank you Hotel Massimo

We spent a week end in this little hotel. It is clean and for breakfast you can enjoy some fantastic home made cakes. We enjoyed the great position 200 mt from a wonderful Mediterranean forest and 500 mt from the see side. Alessandro & Giusi PS Mille grazie a sig Massimo e Sig.ra Grazia for the warm hospitality
