Travel Agent posting client's comments below.. Marzio and Laura's Farmhouse Magical. That would be the word that best describes our stay at Marzio and Laura's Farmhouse. Beginning with the property itself- lush breathtaking views of the hilltop village of San Donato, their very own olive trees, the winery, their quaint pond filled with lily pads home to many happy frogs, their neighbor's horses and the gorgeous pool. The grounds are full of beautiful flowers, fruit and cypress trees. Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to take in the spectacular views. The farmhouse we stayed in was perfect. Very spacious while being incredibly cozy. A charming working (and easy to use!) fireplace in the living room was our favorite place to gather inside. All the furnishing and decoration were like living back in time- or a movie set. Just so beautiful and interesting. The beds were very comfortable. Every amenity was provided to prepare a meal in the rustic cozy kitchen. Every room was spotless. The location was perfect too. We drove to Pisa one day. It was about a little over an hour. Another day we drove to Florence- which was about 40 minutes away. Marzio and Laura were warm, friendly, gracious, kind and generous. They were so accommodating, and provided us with great suggestions to get the most out of the area. Now I must describe the meals! We had homemade breakfast all three mornings. Fresh eggs from their own chickens, Laura's homemade pastries, fresh cheese, homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh bread, fruit spreads, amazing coffee, tea, and juice. I can't recall everything- but I can honestly say it was 5 star cuisine delicious!! The table was gorgeously set. The room was sun filled and warm. Marzio and Laura also offered to make dinner for us as well. We absolutely accepted. They gave us a menu to choose from. My husband had veal and I had the vegetarian option of eggplant parmesan. Scrumptious! It was a three course meal that was probably the best meal of our whole stay in Italy. They served fresh greens, mozzarella and tomato salad, Laura's delicious homemade nudie (I had never heard of this traditional Italian dish prior to this night). The desserts and wine were also homemade and delicious. Since we've been home I haven't stopped raving about our stay!

Laura and Marzio have a great farm house where the appartments blend in perfectly with the local rural style. They are cosy, comfortable and nicely arranged and decorated. Their hospitality includes dinner and breakfast upon request and a great service! The pool, their wine, fresh vegetables,... no wish left open....

This is just what we needed after spending 4 days in the city... The location is so peaceful, and the room was big with a Queen sized comfy bed and nice bathroom. Laura and Marzio were very welcoming, gave us lots of useful advice, and took a genuine interest in what we did/where we went. The breakfast was delicious and there was so much choice. The location is great because you are in a tranquil farm setting but can walk into the village (San Donato) in about 10 minutes and grab dinner! On two nights my parter and I bought picnic food from the local COOP and here, and Laura lent us wine glasses and plates etc. Really beautiful place and lovely owners.

This is a lovely comfortable place and the hosts (Marzio and Laura) made us feel very welcome. The location was great for day trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, etc. It is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards with a nice view of San Donato. Everything is well-kept. It is very quiet with the only noises being birds singing, frogs croaking and, in the distance, dogs barking and roosters crowing. We chose to make our own breakfast in our apartment and found the kitchen to be well equipped. Marzio and Laura made dinner for guests on our last night (for a reasonable charge per person) and it was great. It was a complete dinner with all of the courses of a Tuscan meal. Marzio is an excellent chef and Laura's contributions (bread, salad and dessert) were excellent too. The meal was accompanied by Chianti made from their own grapes. If you are looking for a fancy spa-like retreat that you could find in many places around the world - this is not the place for you. But if you want to stay in a lovely old farmhouse that is a clean and comfortable place providing a true Chianti experience, this is the place.

Stayed there two nights with my husband and daughter. The owners, Marzio and Laura, are very hospitable: they're keen to know that all is well and that you're happy with the room and facilities. They prepared a remarkable breakfast consisting of delicious ham and cheese omelette seasoned with marjoram, accompanied by home-made bread; cured meats and cheeses; home-made yoghurt; a tomato and mozzarella dish drizzled with their own olive oil - extremely tasty; fruit salad; home-made cake ... there was a large variety of goodies. Our room (called Laura), was very comfortable. I liked the fact that you could just step out from the room and relax on the deckchairs outside, to the sound of chirping birds. Good amenities: pool, table tennis. I recommend this place if you're looking to relax in a peaceful environment, away from the road, surrounded by nature.

We had our first family holiday here in September and we could not have wished for a better place to stay or more welcoming hosts. Molinuzzo is ideal if you want to explore Florence or Sienna one day; and relax by the pool or walk in the countryside the next. Its easy to find too, although we did use GPS to avoid any stress! Marzio and Laura are truly wonderful hosts. It was our first time traveling with our 7 month old son, and they could not have been more helpful. We were lucky enough to sample two stunning evening meals which included their home grown olive oil and wine. It felt like a really authentic Tuscan experience from as soon as we arrived. The accomodation is beautifully finished with unique artwork and furnishings, and the views are gorgeous. The local village has handy a co-op and an excellent pizzeria in a giant marquee (run by the local football team). We also recommend the bakery in Greve, and the drive their is really beautiful too. We could only book for 6 nights, as thats what was available - but we loved it so much, we shall definately return!

This was our second time staying with Marzio and Laura at the Agriturismo Molinuzzo. They are beyond kind, thoughtful, helpful and so knowledgeable. The first time we stayed it was in early July with our two, young adult children. We enjoyed the pool, ping pong and surroundings table during our down time. Florence and Sienna were only a twenty to thirty minute car ride away. This most recent trip was late March and our stay was just as perfect. We took time to visit our daughter who is studying in Florence as well as explore several quaint towns Like Radda and Volpaia, San Gimignano and Volterra. Simply wonderful to explore the Tuscany region and feel like you are coming home each night to a comfortable bed. Can't say enough about this place and can't wait to go again!!!

Our family of 5 have stayed at Molinuzzo 3 times now, and each time we only become more attached to this beautiful home and its owners. Molinuzzo embodies all the charm and romance of Tuscany, in the perfect location for visiting the best that Tuscany has to offer. The property is an oasis of peace and nature but a mere stroll down the hill from village shops and restaurants. The pool and grounds are perfect for relaxed days, with plenty of activities if required. Sienna and Florence are half and hour by car in either direction, and host Marzio will happily recommend wonderful places to eat and visit in between. We have recommended Molinuzzo to several friends now, and each group has had the same response: heaven on earth. We are counting down the days until our next visit and recommend this property to anyone seeking a wonderful Tuscan experience.

We rented "Apartment Lisa". It was huge, especially for 5 woman. The owners were so nice and thoughtful. I want to go back again if I am ever in the area again. We thought it would be hard to find but it turned out to be very easy. The owner emailed me the exact directions needed. It is not all that far from Florence. Close to San Gimignano.

I've been visiting the Agriturismo Molinuzzo for fifteen years and it gets better and better each time we come here. Your hosts Marzio and Laura will go out of their way to ensure that your stay with them is one of the most memorable trips you could undertake. Situated as it is in the hills above Florence which is just forty minutes drive away the farm offers accommodation with breakfast if required. Marzio will, happily cook evening meals for those that want it, served in their lovely dining room. I am almost loathe to share this beautiful place as it is so very special. Close by are the little Chianti region towns that offer the visitor such splendid views, wonderful dining opportunities and places of interest. Visit San Gimignano famous as the backdrop for many English made films. Little towns like Greve in Chianti and Castellina delight the photographer and if shopping is your thing then Lecchio about 45 minutes drive will offer all that retail therapists could hope for. Not forgetting nearby Florence with its architectural beauty and bustling street markets and Siena which boasts probably the most famous piazza in the country. Marzio is a man of many talents and his wine is especially good, he takes infinite care with everything he does and next year will be able to offer facilities for wheelchair users. You will walk among olive groves, listening to the frogs croaking in the lake or swim in the deliciously warm pool. I cannot think of a more heavenly place.
