We had lunch today in the Ballyseedy Castle hotel. The ambience in the bar was amazing served by the one and only wonderful Esther Mccarthy, gave us a warm welcome as always she was friendly, spoke to us even though she was busy during our time there, and advised us on the different options on the menu. Our meal was outstanding. We would highly recommend her service. It was a pleasure. She showed us around the beautiful grounds of the hotel and the new church too. She is an asset to the Business.

Possibly the most beautiful hotel stay I have experienced in Ireland. Absolutely everything was perfect. You can tell it’s family owned as it’s evident that the castle is much loved and in good hands. The decor is classic and the grounds beautifully maintained. The staff were so warm and friendly and of course the hi-light of my stay was meeting the resident dogs. Cant wait to stay again.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of County Kerry, Ballyseede Castle Hotel offers a truly extraordinary escape. I wish we spent two night here. Approaching the castle, we couldn't help but be in awe by its imposing stone facade. We were greeted by a friendly shaggy dog who seemed to be a beloved fixture at the castle's entrance, adding to its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Stepping through the front entrance, we were immediately drawn in the castle's timeless charm, where every detail speaks of luxury and refinement. The castle boasts an array of exquisitely decorated rooms and suites, each adorned with antique furnishings and plush fabrics. Exploring the castle's winding corridors, we stumbled upon a series of inviting sitting rooms, each offering its own unique ambiance. From cozy nooks with crackling fireplaces to elegant parlors adorned with fine art and tapestries, there was no shortage of spaces to relax and unwind. The room we were staying in felt like a regal chamber fit for a princess. A spacious interior adorned with classic elegance. A magnificent four-poster bed took centre stage. The room boasted not only the comforts of a plush couch and a dresser but also a charming desk and charming stuffed rocking horse. Now for the view, we were treated to not one, but two stunning window seats, offering panoramic views over manicured gardens below. Although we had indulged in a hearty lunch, we couldn't resist sampling some of the delectable offerings from the hotel's menu. From espresso martinis to rich hot chocolates, each sip was a delight. And the grilled ham and cheese sandwich for my spouse and the Atlantic Seafood Chowder for myself were simply divine – a testament to the culinary excellence of Ballyseede Castle Hotel. Wish we could have sampled more of the menu. In the morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast spread complemented by an extensive à la carte menu, offering a tantalizing array of options to start the day off right.

Couldn't fault our stay as staff couldn't do enough for my sisters and family at our nephew's wedding last week. Esther and Doreen in particular were just top notch at what they do, made a home from home for us and a great laugh also! Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful castle- the dogs were an added bonus to our trip as dog lovers of all shapes and sizes... The kerry people were definitely warm and welcoming hosts to these Cavan ladies on tour!!!

Enjoyed an amazing lunch here to celebrate Mother’s Day, great food, surroundings and atmosphere. Staff are so warm and friendly, we were looked after by Doreen and Kate and they couldn’t have been nicer. Extra bonus are the owner’s dogs who wander around and add to the experience. A Kerry gem.

Characterful castle (decor and staff), relaxed atmosphere and beautifully (in keeping) adorned with quirky and interesting paraphernalia. Doreen and Joe were attentive at breakfasts and were helpful as well as entertaining! Breakfasts were hearty and set us up for the day. 5 course dinner was good value (portions are generous). Alingham Suite is spacious, views to the mountains from the bed, lions feet bath a nice touch in the room. Small hiccough with room but was sorted immediately - staff are very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Thank you, Nicola. The grounds are lovely (rain prevented wandering but our room had a good view). The dogs were lovely, very docile, and how they lent a certain "air" to the place! All in all, a very memorable stay and one we will treasure!

Just back from an amazing weekend in Ballyseede Castle. From the warm welcome to the beautiful room and lovely touch for my husbands birthday every staff member we encountered was a credit to the hotel but special mention must go to Doreen who went above and beyond to recommend venues in Tralee to us and really provided the personal touch and made us feel so special. Will definitely return. Room 802
