Good pool, nice shady terraces, nice room with balcony and large bathroom. Fairly wide choice at breakfast. Restaurant serves delicious food in the evening, but plan ahead: there is no service Sun or Mon eve. We recommend the nearby Planet Sushi or Pizzeria. Watch out for mosquitos as I suffered badly. The residential location meant it was quiet and easy to get to the airport. The downside was walking up that steep hill (admittedly only 100 metres) at the end of the day. Avoid getting a taxi from the airport as they have recently introduced a set price of €32 , crazy when it's round the corner. There is no fridge and no kettle in the rooms. We brought a travel kettle, tea bags and powered milk and it worked a treat. The best asset of this hotel was the wonderful staff. They simply could not do enough for you.

I have split view of this hotel. We stayed here half a day and one night before continuing our trip. The room was quite small, but view was superb: Ocean view over the buildings. The hotel is also walking distance from the Boulevard des Anglais, but at the airport end of it, where there's not much happening. Still, the beach is there with it's pebbles. Traveling to Nice center during the day is also easy, even if the tram still goes only half the way. You can use the same ticket to take a bus. The problem comes in the evening, when the night busses start their very sparce and poorly advertised running (this is the problem of the city, not the hotel). The hotel is 4.5 km from the center so getting back takes time either by walking or waiting. Not so nice. On the plus side again, even if our view was towards south, where there's the tramline and roads, you couldn't hear them inside while window was closed. Only airplanes taking off could be heard, but they don't take off too often and not at all at nights, so the room was comfortably quiet most of the time. Or unless the hotel hadn't decided to have a disco downstairs, which thumb-thumb-thumb kept going almost to the midnight. So currently it's a bit underwhelming, but if they shut down the disco (or you don't mind it) and when the tramline finishes, this will be pretty good place to stay. Then add one star.

The hotel is in a good, peaceful location not far from the beach. The clean bedrooms have everything you'd require for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere is special as the hosts/staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. You feel the warm welcome immediately as you arrive. This is a very nice hotel with a kind ambience for which is very rare these days. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We were looking for a good quality, preferably 3 star rated hotel, very close to the airport for the last phase of our journey and the Anis Hotel fit the bill ideally. The location was out of the way and quiet in the Lanterne district, a 10 minute drive to the airport and a 15 minute walk to the Anglais boardwalk, seaside. Likewise it was a 20 or 30 minute walk to the Saint-Augustin train station. At the end of a very short street, turning through the gateway, we found the free parking lot situated in front of the atmospheric small hotel. A short flight of stone stairs brought us to the front of the 2 storied hotel with a treed terrace on the right and an outdoor swimming pool on the left. Very scenic! Entering, we passed a dining room on the right and a lounge on the left to be greeted by the very amiable Claudia at the reception desk who quickly and efficiently checked us in despite some confusion because the rooms were prepaid on our travelling companion's credit card. The lift to our accommodation floor was one of those 3 passenger sized jobs in which one sent luggage up separately to be received by a fellow guest already in place to do so. Our initial room overlooked the pool but we found it too small for our needs. Approaching Claudia about changing rooms she gladly provided us with a key to another, larger room at no additional cost with the proviso that we had not used anything in the original room and to bring back the key for the unwanted room. The second room overlooked the front terrace of the hotel, had a double bed and an additional single bed, sufficient room to open both our suitcases and still move around and a narrow tub/shower in the bath. The bed was comfortable with good quality sheeting and I slept well. It was ideal for our needs and we were grateful to Claudia for being so accommodating. They were also accommodating in allowing us to check out the night before our departure because of our early flight. The whole was meticulously clean. The lounge area had available a profusion of back issues of magazines in different languages for use by guests. We were surprised by the number of cars in the almost full parking lot when we left in the early morning to begin our exploration. We had not noticed guest traffic noise in the hotel and the number of cars indicated a busy place held in high regard. We were able to enjoy dinner on the terrace under the twinkling lights in the trees. My partner enjoyed the salmon which she found thick, moist and tasty. I enjoyed the tortellini bolognese which was flavorful, abundant and filling. They were quickly and attractively presented, representing excellent value for the reasonable cost. We had only one full day in Nice this being the endpoint of a multi week journey and we were unable to explore it sufficiently. We shall return to Nice and the Anis Hotel for a furure exploration.

This hotel not only offers the flair of Cote d'Azur, it also gives you the feeling of being home or back with friends. The owners really pamper you and make you feel well. Cooking is fine and tasty. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped - just nice. It's nice to be in Nice with Anis. Dance, liebe Barbara! Auf hoffentlich bald im nächsten Jahr! Bine & Horst

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel was booked by a cycling tour company. Room was clean and basic. Would have been cleaned daily but we only had them clean once. Some staff were lovely, others a bit cold. Was a bit hit and miss. All spoke English fairly well (We do not speak French). Owner is good to deal with. Breakfast was included. Decent selection of cheese, meats, bread, pastries. Coffee from a machine. Fairly far from old town. But easy by bus. Very close to the airport. Tram will stop almost at the end of lantern street. Hotel is up a slope. Not very many good restaurants near by. Did not have dinner in the hotel. So can’t comment. Pool looked great but chose the beach which was close by instead.

Stayed here in August in Room 404 which was a nice size with a balcony. The room was basic but clean with the exception of the carpet which could do with a deep clean. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed. There were free basic toiletries. We ate once in the hotel and the food was as expected, as I veggie I cannot comment on the meat dishes but my daughter (salmon) and nephew (sea bream) were very satisfied. The swimming pool was lovely and perfect after a long day walking around and perfect as drinks can be taken around the pool. The hotel is located at the top of a hill which takes around 5mins from the promenade de Anglais, bus stop Carras. From the airport Terminal 1 its the number 23 bus, note there is a free shuttle between the terminals so cheapest option is to take the free shuttle then number 23 for 1.50 pp. From the Anis hotel you can catch several buses into the centre (1.50pp), No, 52 was our choice. The beach is located just at the bottom of the hill opposite Carrefour. Also there is an amazing Pizzeria located just five minutes away (see other review) Overall a satisfying stay and the pool was an added bonus. The staff overall were lovely and accommodating.

We stayed here for two nights during the middle of August. It’s a good location in Nice (about 45 minutes walk along the promenade to old town) and there was free parking with the majority of spaces off of the street. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the lady who checked us in had excellent English. The room was very basic though. There wasn’t a fridge or kettle even. There isn’t a safe either. It was a good size and the bathroom was suitable for disabled use as it was a wet room and had additional adaptive features. There was a balcony on the room which was nice but we got very badly bitten by bugs and mosquitoes so take some repellent if staying in the area. The area is residential with building works going on so could be noisy and the internal walls seem to be very thin. There was a birthday party in the large room on the ground floor on one day of our stay. The staff were moving the furniture around (all on tiled floors) and you could hear it loudly in our room on the second floor. We didn’t eat on the restaurant ourselves but the menu looked very good. Overall it just needs a little bit of attention to add some finishes to it that would have given this the four out of five that I was close to giving it.

If there is paradise in earth, so it is in this place. We stayed 6 nights and everything was wonderful. The room was light and clean (they were cleaning and changing towels and bed sheets everyday), the garden and the pool were magnificent (even if there are a lot of trees and flowers around there were no mosquitos), the hotel is very close to the airport and very close to the bus stop for the city center and there is also a wonderful restaurant with amazing food in very good prises. The owners of the hotel are two wonderful persons who make you feel like home. They are kind, helpful in everything and they always have a smile on their faces. At the end of our trip we made them part of our family (Barbara and Alessandro thank you for everything. See you very very soon!)!!! Also the girls that are working in the restaurant (Claudia and Georgiana) are the best. They made our nights so beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel and we already start planning our next stay there!
