From February 9, 2024, to February 11, 2024, I stayed at your hotel and made the reservation through the reservation website, with payment made. Upon check-out, you charged me again, and I ended up paying twice for the hotel stay. You provided me with a receipt that is invalid. Now, you are denying that I stayed at your hotel and accusing me of stealing my money. I had heard that people in Spain are thieves and dangerous, but now I am sure. You are dishonest people. I will share your scam all over the internet.

This was a bit of a calamity from the get go. We were given a smoking room (these still exist in 2023?) which absolutely reeked of smoke, despite not being able to select the option of a non-smoking room when booking on the Accor website. The hotel was fully booked and we weren’t able to change rooms to a non-smoking one until the next night (which by comparison was a breath of fresh air, pun intended). The downside here was that the room was stuffy, especially at night after a couple of showers, as the air conditioning wasn’t working. We didn’t flag it with reception on the 2nd night as we were only there for 3, and couldn’t be bothered moving rooms a second time. Mentioning the non working air-con to reception at check out to prevent future guests from sweating to death, they said that the air conditioning was turned off now, and you could only heat the room? I’d expect this kind of militant control in my office building at work, but not at a hotel where you want to look after the guests’ comfort. Breakfast basic but does the job if you’re not fussed about variety - not included in our room rate, but €9.50. End of the day, I guess we shot ourselves in the foot booking Ibis (not even the Budget version, mind you), but I definitely think you could find better in Madrid for a little bit more money.

The rooms, as other typical Ibis, are small and efficient. Room and bath were pretty clean. The metro station is about 100 yards away, you can be at the Puerta del Sol station in about 15/20 min. Close to the metro in the main road, you have many restaurant choices. Barajas airport is very close, about 15/20 minutes away by car. Staff allows to hold your luggage in a safe place before or after check in/out.

Very convenient for the airport by cheap public transfer. Respected my wish for a quiet room (as far away from the lift as possible), clean room. Substantial breakfast with one thing other hotels outside the UK seldom have - a kettle in the breakfast restaurant. If you drink tea, you usually have to make do with 'hot' water from a receptacle which is part of the coffee machine. This water is never hot enough to make a cup of tea. So hats off to Ibis Alcala for having a real kettle for customers to use. Excellent.

The check in was great with Eduado, the room was clean, the price was fair...and the location was excellent for a trip into the city center. So why the average review...because the pillows were the cheapest and most uncomfortable ever. I have traveled to over 40 countries so I am not exaggerating! The pillows were extremely thin, I would have needed at least four pillows to support my normal sized head. Such a shame because I like the Accor group hotels generally. It is also such an easy, cheap fix...so I hope the bosses will take note of this review.

Simple, but clean rooms. Not much space, but has a comfy bed. Quite far from the center, but close to the airport. If you would like only to sleep here, this is the best choice, because even using a taxi/bolt every time was cheaper than staying in the city center. Breakfast wasn't too good, there weren't any warm meals like eggs, and the coffee was also cheap quality. The staff was kind.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this Ibis in June when attending the Rolling Stones concert at the Metropolitano Stadium, for which it is ideally located. Access to the city centre is also easy by metro and there is a station just at the end of the street. The immediate surroundings are very pleasant with cafes, restaurants and a beautiful park, amongst other amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning and all members of staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

$40 for a walk in booking after 5 hour bus journey from Granada. Very handy for Metro for onward trip to airport next day. Small but very comfortable room, bed was very comfy. I arrived very late but could still grab a couple of beers. Lots of cheat cafes within a few metres.

The hotel itself offers great value for money. At around 45 euro a night (including breakfast) you absolutely get more than you paid for. Rooms are small but fully functioning and clean. Breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate. Since we had a very early morning check out we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant the day prior. Wait staff was quite rude and the food was nothing more than microwaved pre-made meals. Even the grilled chicken was microwaved making it pretty much inedible.
