The Bellevue Syrene wins the hearts of visitors with its striking views and luxurious rooms, which guests find spacious and well-lit, though a few suggest they might benefit from refreshment. The hotel's amenities, including exquisite dining accompanied by live music, contribute to an elegant atmosphere that many find charming. The property's cleanliness is widely acclaimed, with travelers noting the spotless conditions. While the service receives mixed reviews, ranging from exceptional to unresponsive, the hotel's prime location near the town center is consistently praised. However, some guests feel that the overall value doesn't fully align with the high costs.

From the minute we stepped into this magical property till the time we left, it was beyond our expectations. The service was impeccable and their attention to detail was incomparable. We really felt the royal treatment and hope that anyone else that visits this property, will feel the same.

A gorgeous 50-room hotel in Sorento, Italy,, converted from a 1750 villa built on the foundations of an ancient Roman Villa of the 2nd century owned by the Emperors. Highly recommend this hotel. Every room, hallway, nook and cranny is filled with beautiful art, including a tapestry of The Virgin Mary dated 1870.

This really is a 5 star hotel. The staff are superb, the rooms are large and comfortable, the view of Mt. Vesuvius and the coast is unlike any other. We ran into the GM at least three times while there and she always had a suggestion on where to go or eat. Because we visited in December, we were not able to experience the small beach or pool, but the Prosecco and fire in the lobby made up for it. They also had a small Christmas market that helped get us into the holiday spirit. Our room, 106, had a sitting area with sofa and small chair along with a king bed. The bathroom was small around the sink but had a huge shower. The towels were sheet size and warm from the towel warmer. The bath amenities were ecologically inspired with bar shampoo and conditioner. I wasn’t keen on the body cream lotion because I couldn’t figure out the proper use. The room also had a terrace with built in benches against the wall and a bistro table with two chairs. As mentioned, the terrace had a full on view of the bay and Mt. Vesuvius. We had an iced bottle of Prosecco waiting for us with two flutes. The included breakfast buffet had everything you’d ask. Hot eggs, bacon, potatoes, lots of cheese varieties, fruit, many pastries and breads, a machine to squeeze fresh orange juice, and an ala carte menu from which we did not order. Lastly, we did eat dinner one night at the hotel restaurant. They had a 7 course degustation and pairing dinner which we did not try but wished we were more hungry for. (130 euros with 60 euros for a wine pairing). Our food was creative and delicious and included two surprises from the chef—one savory and one sweet. In fact, the macarons they gave us were better than we had in France. The pricing was not much different than in downtown Sorrento. For mobility challenged, the hotel has a cart to get you to the center of town or train station. And dogs are welcomed, including by the hotel cat, Ariel.

To start with, the views from the hotel -- from our room, the restaurant, the bar, the patio -- are spectacular. We never tired of looking across the bay to Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. As for the hotel itself, the hotel staff provided some of the best service we have ever experienced -- friendly but highly professional in every way. Everyone from the concierge personnel, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff, and bellmen went out of their way to be helpful. We got great advice on transportation options to Pompeii and Naples, excellent local restaurant recommendations, and directions. The room we had was large and beautiful, with many modern amenities, a large bathroom, and a balcony with a wonderful view. The hotel is in an old building but it is perfectly maintained and simply beautiful. Breakfast is an expansive buffet with a la carte options, served in the hotel restaurant, which has beautiful views of the bay. During a month-long vacation in Europe, the Bellevue Serene stood out as an accommodation and we highly recommend it.

We cannot say enough about our stay at this fabulous hotel - it was something we will remember forever. It is like staying at a B&B with cozy rooms you can sit and chat - the staff is unbelievable. They treat you like royalty. We hated to leave. From the moment we arrived and Rosa greeted us.. we were in heaven. Lovely lounge area where you can get snacks and prosecco every day - breakfast buffet to die for and the view - spectacular. Best place we've EVER stayed and we cannot wait to return. We would never even think to stay anyplace else in Sorrento!!! Thank you Rosa and staff for a phenomenal stay!!!

If you're considering staying at the Bellevue Syrene, you really shouldn't waste any more time: Just book your room now. Other reviews will tell you about all the wonderful aspects of this place - the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the comfort of the rooms, the jaw-dropping views, the beautiful decor, the cleanliness, etc. That's all true. But honestly, if you can stay here, you should do so. You won't regret it. It's wonderful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel at the end of October. It is truly a 5 star hotel from the property, to the rooms, to the staff and service. The location was great - right in the center of town and east walk to everything. The concierge helped us with activities and made dinner reservations for us at various places in town. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. We highly recommend and can’t wait to get back.

Everything about this hotel is 5 star. The staff are always available and responsive. Grounds are immaculate and beautifully designed. Rooms are incredibly spacious with lovely balconies. The windows are floor to ceiling and infuse the rooms with light. They also have shutters that completely block out the light at night. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. It is located on a cliff overlooking the ocean and very easy to access from town. Within walking distance of many delicious and reasonably price restaurants.

We visited for drinks because we had read the sunset view was beautiful, it didn’t disappoint. When we arrived we were welcomed and shown to a table all the staff were lovely we were given free nibbles. The only downside we found was pigeons resting on the railings however the waiter had a genius idea and had a little water gun in his pocket to scare them away after a short while it did just that. I would recommend a visit here and if I was to be back in Sorrento I would visit again.

Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of our trip to Amalfi. Every aspect of our experience was truly remarkable. The warmth and friendliness of the entire staff made our stay memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. The hotel's location is exceptional, offering unbeatable views of the Amalfi coast. It's a perfect vantage point to take in the beauty of the region. The on-site restaurant not only serves excellent food but also offers breathtaking views. It's a delightful combination that added to our overall experience. Special kudos to Concierge Francesco, who went above and beyond to organize our dinner reservations and tailor tour activities to our preferences. We highly recommend booking the private boat tour, which conveniently departs from the hotel's dock. The presence of the hotel cat was an unexpected bonus, as we enjoyed spotting it lounging around the common areas throughout the day. The general manager, Federica, is a true credit to the hotel. She was warm and welcoming from the moment we checked in, and she even took the time to locate us in the restaurant & wish us safe travels on the night of our departure. Her personal touch made our stay even more special. The complimentary lounge with a selection of canapés and drinks changing throughout the day was a nice touch. If I were to provide one critique, it would be that the rooms could benefit from a facelift. However, they are still generously sized, offer unmatched views, and come with a well-stocked mini bar. We left with the intention to return; this hotel has left an indelible mark on our Amalfi experience, and we can't wait to stay here again in the future.
