The Acropolis Hill Hotel is a great choice if you are looking for a hotel that provides everything that you need for a great base to explore Athens. The bedrooms are compact, but have ample luggage storage. We stayed in a room on the 5th floor overlooking the rear of the hotel. The hotel has a lovely outdoor terrace with views of the Acropolis and Parthenon. Breakfast is served on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool which is open in "high season". The breakfast contains an ample variety of food that would appeal to most tastes (including a small selection of hot food). The bar area (3rd floor) is manned by the reception staff and offers a range of beverages at reasonable prices. The location of the hotel provides easy access by foot to the Acropolis and other major historic sites. It is approximately 10 minutes walk to Monastiraki metro station and all of the restaurants bars and shops that are offered on Ermou. Overall an excellent base for a short break in Athens.

Good hotel for a city break . Great location for acropolis and only 10 min walk away. Rooms where spacious with comfy beds , good showers and a safe for valuables. Roof terrace was nice with great views over the city. Breakfast was good , lots of choice ,eggs bacon . A bit hilly around it but taxis are very cheap. Uber used there. 7/10€ to must spots in the city We got private taxi from the airport to and from and was much cheaper than one the hotel had offered .€45 . My only issue was the lack of engagement from reception staff, but I did find this in the restaurant and bars too. For a country than relies on tourist they need to step up there customer service. The receptionist were no very knowledgeable of things or places to go and hid behind the desk . On our check out they never asked how was our stay. All in all great time and felt very safe walking around. Highly recommend the wheelz electric bike tour , attic roof top bar and James Joyce bar .

My wife and I arrived at this hotel very late at night so we needed speed and care. We received both from the reception staff. We were clearly and quickly told where our room was, what time breakfast was, the amount we would need to pay for city tax at the end of our stay and where we could get an amazing view of the acropolis itself. They greeted us every morning and evening when we were there and we felt confident that everything we wanted would be catered for and it was very professionally. My only shock is that this hotel is only 3 stars!! To all staff who were there for us for my birthday week my wife and I say: Efcharistó polý!!! Xx

We stayed here at the beginning of February 2024. It is a perfect hotel for a short stay for small families, friends or couples. Location: The hotel itself is located right by the Lofos Filoppapou park 45-minute drive away from the airport, about 15 minutes walk away from the enterance of the Acropolis Hill. The area is quiet, very nice atmosphere not as busy as the town centre areas. Hotel amenities: The hotel has a very nice simple, clean and modern feel to it. The staff is very helpful and kind. The reception is manned 24/7, breakfast at 7am (if it is included in your stay) check out is at 11am. The breakfast bar area is nice, big enough for the size of the hotel filled with fresh choices. Tea,coffee, continental choices, and of course authentic greek joghurt with several choices of toppings. The hotel has a small courtyard with a decent size pool in it with sunbeds. There is an amazing rooftop outdoor seating area on the 4th floor where you can see the Phantenon lit up at night. I beleave there is a bar in the lobby with seating areas and lounchers too but it wasn't open when we visited. Breakfast/food: I can only talk about the breakfast as that was included in our stay only. The food was fresh, and there were plenty of choices, tea, coffee, and continental style buffet. For dinner or lunch, you can wonder in to the Plaka area about 20 min walk away where you have plenty of restaurants to eat at. Athens city centre: If you wander into the city centre, be aware of where you step in parks as there are plenty of homeless people doing drugs, and the seringes and needles are disposed everywhere. There are lots of things to see and I would recommend buying a city pass through get your guide as it is cheaper about 30 attractions and the hop on hop off bus us included. The room: The room is comfortable and spacies enough. We even had a couch as well as your usual double bed desk chair. The bathroom is nice and clean, big shower. Safe, kettle, hair drier, tv, and fridge included. We had a view of the Acropolis Hill from our balcony, but you have to pay for when you book your stay. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. It's really nice, and I appreciate the hard-working staff.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 7 nights on our holiday to Athens. The location is fantastic! Literally 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis and museum. It’s near all the local restaurants and bars. Our room was lovely. We had a balcony that looked over the pool area. The beds were really comfortable. Looked like the bathroom had recently been upgraded and had a very modern walk in shower. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was ok. Just the standard you expect in a city hotel. The little QR code in the room for ordering food was a nice touch, especially after being out all day if you didn’t want to go back out for food.

The Acropolis Hill was a good hotel for our 3 night stay in Athens over New Years Eve. It has everything you need for a short stay and was very clean. I will say there are a couple of improvements that could have been made. The bathroom in our room (606) had a walk in shower, however this wasn’t separated very well and had a shower curtain which was awful which meant the entire bathroom floor would be wet after usage. The AC in our room was also not good at all and even in December our room would get quite warm so we had to leave the balcony door open at all times which isn’t ideal. Thirdly, the roof terrace (the main reason we picked the hotel) needs some night lights as it’s completely dark at night on there so we preferred the balcony attached to our room. The bed for us was not ideal as the pillows were way too big and resulted in me having a bad neck for two days. The breakfast was poor with extremely little variety and hard stale pastries. I believe all these negatives could be very easily resolved and therefore I am happy to give a 3 star review. Side note, the hotel for us was in a good location but the nicest part of Athens in our opinion is Plaka and therefore I would recommend to future friends and family to try and find a hotel in Plaka for ease. However, this hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk away and does have a stunning view of the Acropolis.

Great hotel, really friendly staff, good breakfast. Didn’t use the pool but did sit out on the roof terrace with excellent views across the city. Location is perfect for the Acropolis, all the main museums, and getting all over Athens. Plenty of restaurants/bars etc all within a 10-15 minute walk. Spoiler alert, it is up a hill, so bear in mind if you travel by the metro and have large luggage. Hotel happy to store luggage after check out.

We came to Athens on a 4 day city break. We had intended to visit in 2020, but, well you know, COVID. However the hotel is a lovely little gem, 15 minutes from the south entrance to the Acropolis and the nearby stops for the hop on hop off buses (which are recommended). Check in was smooth and easy, the rooms are compact but clean, the beds are comfortable and there is a handy little safe. Breakfast is typically continental with added fabulous Greek elements (spanakopita or baclava anyone?) and was very welcome. My wife tried the pool on a Sat afternoon in November, which was chilly but welcome. It is worthwhile grabbing a drink from the bar and going up to the rooftop and take in the views of the Acropolis at night. It’s not a bad view during the day either. There are many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets etc in the area and you are spoilt for choice. I loved the idea of eating outside in shirtsleeves in mid November. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you Acropolis Hill Hotel

I have to leave a review! We had a one night stay here on our way back to Los Ángeles via Rome. We had to leave at 3:00am in order to make our flight. Our one night stay included breakfast but we were not going to be able to make the breakfast time. So, the wonderful staff at this hotel made sure we had something in our tummies for the long trip home. At 2:45am, someone left fresh brewed coffee in the dining area. Not only did they leave us coffee, the left pastries, hard boiled eggs and more. I could not believe someone cared that much for us! I’m still amazed at their service and hospitality. Thank you, to all the staff at the Acropolis Hill Hotel.
