Apart from the location close to the station and metro this hotel has absolutely nothing to commend it. Extremely rude evening/night receptionist, rooms not cleaned (layers of dust), furniture old, 4 floors no lift. Absolutely could not recommend anyone to stay here.

Staff is extremely unfriendly. Never say goodmorning/evening. Do not even acknowledge with a nos. Only form of communication is barking orders at you like ‘show me covid Pass’ or when you leave ‘what is your room nummer?’. This is based on multiple occasions with different people over the course of 4 days. Price is good. But I felt so extremely unwelcome that I would never ever stay here again.

Room Tip: Do not go to this hotel. There are other good budget hotels I am sure. Unfriendly and unwelcoming...

The hotel is seemingly ok… the website advertised a free breakfast buffet, but do not be deceived, no such breakfast is provided. When I asked for another towel (as we were provided with one less than needed), instructions for the AC and the time of breakfast, I was met with visceral anger from the receptionist. A towel was provided, hep with the AC given, but, to my dismay, my hopes for breakfast dashed. There is no lift so those with lots of luggage may struggle. The area is ok … a little bit seedy but it is very close to a metro station. All in all, it serves its purpose but with NO frills.

Alot of attention and pride has gone into this beautiful hotel. Close to railway and metro, buses to Albania, and within walking distance of the main attractions, plaza, monastiraki etc. There is a warm and inviting atmosphere when you check in.the place is beautifully decorated,a step back in time. The room is great,TV,aircon, heating, bathroom with toiletries, towels etc.everything clean. Furnishing are in keeping with the general style.and everything works!! The value and prices are unbelievable compared to some of the places in athens. You definitely get more than you pay for. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Close to the Larissa train station, which was important for taking train to Meteora. Old style and clean. Good breakfast and was ready by 6:30 am. Inexpensive coffee shops and restaurants are close by.

I just landed in Athens, checked into this Hotel and was standing outside the Hotel checking local dining options on my phone when a guy on a cycle snatches my phone and disappears into an alleyway. I run after him but he was too fast and I had to give up... I go back into the hotel and ask Savvas(guy at reception) to call the police, to this simple request he looses his temper and mutters something in Greek, and rudely tells me to go to the police station which is a couple of mins down the road. I also request him if I could call my service provider and block my phone, I am prepared to pay for the call. To this, I again get a rude no. There was a computer in the dining room, which was not working, I asked Savvas to take a look but he got extremely frustrated at this point and started throwing his arms in the air and with anger said not my problem. I went to this police station and they tell me they are traffic police(surely savvas should have known this), I had to go to Ommonia police station who told me I had to go to a tourist police. I went to a tourist police and reported the incident. Next morning, I turn the computer table around to check the wiring at the back, and an eldely guy(another receptionist) started howling at me, 'ARE YOU A TECHNICIAN!!..'. all I did was unplug the cables and plugged them back in, and the computer turned on, but with a loud hissing noise, but I manged to contact my provider and block my phone/let my parents know I am safe but my phone has been stolen. After reading my e-mail my parents call the hotel but the person at reception could not understand english, hence instead of passing the call through to someone else he just hung up. I try to raise the matter with another receptionist called Vasilis, who is more polite and approachable, he did apologise for the situation and says that savvas should not have behaved this way but his daughter has cancer. But this is no excuse for this appalling behavior! This place is located in a very bad area with people taking drugs, eating from trash cans and prostitutes. Please avoid!

The place was easy to find, nice looking and very old-stylish which I really enjoyed. The receptionist is also like a character from an old movie. The feeling I had was the same as from my apartment I had in San Francisco in 2001. Good value with classical continental breakfast included. The tiny balcony was also a bonus to tue picture.

We stayed in this hotel in November 2018. The hotel was very nice and homely decorated for the Christmas holidays! The staff is kind-heated! Breakfast is tasty, although the choice is small! But there are all the main things: yogurt, flakes, milk, eggs, ham, cheese, butter, jam, fruit, tea, coffee, buns and toast! In the evening there is an opportunity to make tea. Clean and change towels every day. Near metro and train station. So if you are not looking for a luxury room for a lot of money, and you need a cozy room where you just want to spend the night, have breakfast, but expend money and time on excursions in Athens and the suburbs, this hotel is exactly what you are looking for! Thank you, guys!

The place is decorated by a Greek granny but it shouldn’t bother anyone who wants a place to stay on the cheap but yet a few metro stops from Akropoli. The breakfast is filling but basic. The nearby Bread factory has some nice alternatives. The hotel rooms are very clean which is more important than whether it’s up to date. The area around it is a bit shabby but I didn’t bothered get bothered by anyone as it’s a busy area. However it’s quite noisy so not ideal for everyone.
