Arrived early but we welcomed in without fuss. Immediately offered a cup of tea by Pippa, a really thoughtful touch. Room and en suite were spotless with nice little "extras." If you are staying for longer then maybe a larger TV would be nice but no problem for us. Breakfast was really good and a nice variety.

I booked here on my own for a family emergency and after a long drive from Cornwall was offered a much needed cup of tea. Pippa and Peter were most welcoming and immediately put me at ease. I stayed on the ground floor (a double room, number 6,) which had en-suite facilities. The room was clean, very spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was magnificent and offered a great choice. Weekend timings are changed starting at 08.00 but could be changed if required I understand. I asked where they bought the muesli and marmalade which I then bought. As I was cleaning and de-cluttering my brother's flat I had to buy some furniture Pippa and Peter suggested various shops which were extremely useful and I even bought a few items for myself. I have found one shop down here that is fairly local and bought another item. I stayed for 2 weeks except for one day when they were fully booked - the other bed and breakfast was no comparison) - and looked forward to returning. When my brother returns from hospital I hope to stay again assuming that they have vacancies. I would advise people coming to Worthing to book here.

Rooms always spotless and the welcome warm. We have stayed several times now and it just gets better. Peter and Pippa have the perfect formula and are full of good advice. Although not large this is genuinely one of the best B&B,s we have used. We would never hesitate to return, as we are in the area quite often and the breakfasts alone would sell the B&B to us! Thank You.

Hi Pauline, thank you again for commenting on your stay with us. We are glad to know that we appear to be keeping up the standards. It's good when you come a bit "off season" as you seem to bring good weather to "Sunny Worthing" and although this time there was a bit of rain at least you missed that as I think you were in Brighton at the time. We look forward to seeing you again if the opportunity arises.

We arrived hot and bothered after 90 minutes in a traffic jam on the Stomping by-pass. Peter insisted on taking our case to our (immaculate) room and Pippa brought us tea and biscuits, welcoming and considerate hosts. The breakfast was excellent, best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs I have had, my wifes full English was cooked to perfection. There are plenty of leaflets on the surrounding area, and Peter was extremely helpful with advice and suggestions. Highly recommended, we would stay here again.

Hi Barry, thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay. You never can tell whats going to happen to the traffic but that bit of road does appear to be getting worse for delays. We are glad that you enjoyed the breakfasts that is certainly something we think very important. As for information that also it important, a guest may have specific plans but if some of the local points of intrest can be pointed out or even just a place to pop into on leaving Worthing then we hope that willl provide further options for a good break. We hope to see you again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Arrived and Pippa was a mine of info for places to eat for dinner. Spotless room with all comforts provided, better standard than a large hotel stay in Lancing. Breakfast options great and had kippers one day. Fluid business plans meant a cancellation for a following week, but I will be back. 20 min walk is pleasant through the town to the pier. Easy drive to Lancing place of work. Security and peace of mind with parking facilities. It's a gem of a place to stay!

Thank you for taking the time to comment upon your stay, it was good to know that many of our features and the quality you experienced "ticked" your boxes. Certainly we finf that our private parking is appreciated, although there is unrestricted parking on the adjacent street. Although out of town we are not too far to get to the town or seafront and there is Broadwater just up the road for evening meal. We are glad that you chose to stay with us again only recently and look forward to seeing you again if the opportunity arises.

That's what we did in May this year - and it was a truly perfect choice. It's just a short train ride or a 20 minute drive along the coast into Brighton. But Worthing itself is in any event a much nicer seaside location if you value peace and quiet. Peter and Pippa are the most wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them in helping us enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle and noise - as well as the parking problems and expense, that come with a stay in Brighton. After being welcomed to the house, Pippa quickly appeared again with a tray of tea and biscuits, which was most refreshing after a long drive. We were given the ground floor en-suite room which was convenient both for access and for being just across the hallway from the dining room. Despite being on the corner of a fairly busy road, the Guest House is set well back from the main road and fronts onto a quiet side-road in a nice area of the town. We were not disturbed by traffic, even with the double glazed windows open. Our bedroom and en-suite bathroom were both well-decorated and spotlessly clean. The comfortable double bed had crisp white linen, the towels were pearly white and the shower, although electric, was amazingly effective with a very good flow of hot water. Equipment included a wall-mounted TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There were ample supplies of everything we needed including biscuits. Pippa offers a great choice for breakfast in their comfortable dining room which has individual tables per room. I particularly enjoyed the kippers - with a choice of fillets or the 'real thing'. Everything is freshly home-cooked to perfection! Peter who, incidentally, has a wicked sense of humour, was exceptionally helpful, identifying some local restaurants for our first evening, pointing out some interesting places to visit and even printing a map to help us find them. Oh! And if you prefer take-away (we don't!), you can eat it in the dining room until around 8pm. There's a fridge in there too if you want to keep a bottle cold... Limited parking is available in the front drive and there are no restrictions on the side road outside. (Compare that with Brighton - they charge central London prices!. It was £4/hr or£29/day when we were there - although if you're just going for an evening, check for special evening deals with NCP! ) Despite the 'non-smoking' indications, smokers are welcome to use the seats in the front garden, where Peter has helpfully placed a couple of small sand buckets to bury your butts! When sadly our very pleasant stay came to an end, Peter presented us with a highly-personalised and very humorous 'thank you for staying with us' letter which we continue to treasure as a memento of our visit. We look forward to visiting the Manor Guest House again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly and restful accommodation in this part of the world. PS: Peter/Pippa - Sorry for being so late posting our review !

I stayed with Peter and Pippa at Manor guest house for a few nights The accommodation was an excellent choice to access the centre of Worthing located so close to the city centre. I even spent a day in Brighton catching the train from Worthing to Brighton on Southern Railways. Peter was very knowledgeable about the local history and music scene and always quick to give suggestions. The rooms were immaculately clean and refreshments replaced daily. Pippa made fantastic breakfasts with a selection of full english, cereal or fish of the day options. I strongly recommend Manor guest house to anyone looking for excellent service, a cosy stay and great company.
