Room is without shade courtains and there is no room service unless requested. Oce there were bedside lamps, now there is none, one lies broken upon the wardrobe. I remember this hotel as it was years ago, but now it’s no more than a palecshadow of it. Breakfast is very basic also. Howevwer, the staff is very kind and despite the state of hotel itself most helpfull.

Stayed for one night. The hotel was redecorating, so I was pleasantly surprised to enter a large carpeted bedroom with tv, lots of storage space, large bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Hairdryer. No coffee / tea making facilities. Breakfast basic, although with two hot options: Scrambled eggs and sausages. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We thought we had booked a room at this hotel, we never received a confirmation or anything. Before we left for a visit to a Murska Sobata, I had emailed the hotel confirming we had a reservation, but When we showed up on the night of our stay, the hotel was dark, office was closed, and there was nobody that we could find to contact...it was about 5:30pm so not that late into the evening. Being confused and not even knowing whether or not we had a confirmation, we decided to go ahead and walk down the street and book into a different hotel. So confused by the service or lack thereof at this hotel. Somehow we just have done something wrong....still so confused.

This is the old, big main hotel of the town. Somewhat worn down, but absolutely ok. Price is modest so it is value for money. Breakfast buffet ok. Had dinner at the big outdoor restaurant, that has a limited card (as far as we understood) in daytime but an extensive card in the evening. Food was very good - slovenian/central european type. Well prepared, tasty and very modest priced relatively to Ljubljana center.

Known for garden and history it's still a must to sit down and have at least a drink for every visitor coming to Murska Sobota. It's a pity their own brewery is not functioning anymore, but food is very good, recently they are making great and pretty cheap pizzas, daily lunch offer is also attractive. Can't review hotel - my family lives too close.

I haven't stayed in the hotel, but have visited the restaurant on several occasions and the food was always good. Don't expect fine dining, this is a facility serving honest, unpretentious but delicious local food. If you want local flavours, this is deifnitely the place to go. The tavern will also serve food from the adjacent fast food place. They also have a nice garden to sit in on a summer evening.

In this review I had a choice between Average and Very Good. I would go for the middle there. Please manage your expectations when you travel to a hotel in such a remote part of Europe. Murska Sobata is not much of a holiday destination, but it is a truly interesting region to visit. And because it is not a massive holiday destination in a part of Europe that has been having its own financial crisis - then manage your expectations. Was this hotel comfortable? Well the room was a little small and the sofa bed was not needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm on a cold day and it was quiet. The bar was lovely - really good to sit in. The restaurant was "rustic" - but the food! The food was fantastic. Masses of it,well cooked and served with an honest smile. On the negative side, when booking I thought we were staying in the historic building which is part of the hotel. That was a fairly big disappointment. It was worth the 3 hour drive from Bled to visit a very different part of Slovenia, and the hotel treated us well. I have no complaints.
