The main reason for writing this review is to alert others to a situation in which a delayed flight could have led to us being locked out of our accommodation - "Trendy Deluxe Apartments Budapest". The apartment was in a locked block of apartments, only accessible by a code or key fob which is provided on arrival. There was no communication about this in advance and the reception did not E-mail / text any details when we didn't arrive on time. There was no Jet2 rep / advisor present at the airport, but thankfully I had seen someone mention this on trip advisor. I located a local number and contacted the apartments directly for advice about how to check in after 10PM. It was with 5 mins to spare that I managed to get the external door code and information about where to locate our keys or we may have been locked out for the night.....quite a stressful situation and not the best start to any holiday! Jet2 need to communicate this very clearly and have contingency arrangements visible for any late arrivals as it is not easy to find and the reception / apartments are located on the 5th floor. once I made contact, the local staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartments have everything you will need and are in a great location. You will have no complaints as long as you can get in!

We booked this as a family trip for a few days. The hotel had made contact with us around a week before we were due to arrive to let us know that the hotel reception would close at 10pm and for us to advise on our estimated arrival time. On the day of travel unfortunately our flight was delayed slightly resulting in it being highly unlikely we would get to the apartment before 10pm. The reception had as promised sent an email with instruction on our room number and how to get in to our room were then our key would be waiting for us. It was a couple of minutes before 10pm and we went to attempt to get to our room with the instruction given. We were unable to follow the instruction. There was a couple just entering one of the entrances so we asked them how we would get in, they looked at our instruction and said that there was information missing from the email that we would not be able to get in. They advised to ring the number within the email and that they would come back to check in 5 minutes that we had managed to get in, which was very kind of them. Fortunately someone did answer the phone and he came down to meet us and take us to the room (which had changed from the email sent a couple of hours before). The lock on the door to the room was faulty and the staff showed us how to unlock and then left us to it and asked us to bring the passports to the office in the morning. The room itself was large and clean but was a little outdated. There was a round hole at the side of the door with a wire in it? Non of the curtains in the living room or both bedrooms fit the window, they were far too small, it was puzzling and of course let daylight in? Anyway, we went to the shop across the road to get basic supplies and then settled in for the night. We were wakened at around 1am by a child shouting, screaming and banging extremely loud, it seemed to come from the apartment above but couldn’t be sure. The noise went on for over an hour. We finally all fell back asleep. The next morning we went to the reception to give in our passport details and the man on reception asked how was our room. We mentioned about the noise and he said he would speak to the apartment above but that the apartment was not owned by their company. We then went on to start the first day of our holiday. The apartments are extremely central, lots of grocery stores and restaurants a short walk away. Our apartment was C412. There was one lift for each block which can at times become busy as staff need to get their cleaning equipments to the floors. Our second night we had the same noise again, much louder and went on much longer. The following morning I emailed reception to ask if there may be chance of moving rooms. I got no response but that evening there was no noise whatsoever, which was great! The night after this though, the noise returned, starting at 3am, banging for a long time. On check out I had asked if we could leave luggage and was told that would be fine but the reception closed at 6pm so would need to be collected before then. We went to drop luggage and the lady in reception advised that she was only there until 2.30pm and so collection would be needed before then. We then had to take our luggage round with us for 4 hours whilst we awaited our taxi picking us up. We have always been extremely lucky with rooms on any other holiday we have had so I have found it difficult to write a some what negative review. To summarise, the apartments are in great location, slightly outdated decor, room c412 has a dodgy lock (my partner and daughter nipped to the shop across the road and took the keys with them, on return they couldn’t unlock the door, i went to let them in and found myself locked in, unable to open the door from the inside. Was just about to phone reception and my partner somehow managed to unlock), staff are professional and friendly however, it was pot luck as to the opening times of reception should you have a problem. I would stay on the area again but don’t think I would book the apartment.

Fabulous location, everything was in walking distance - in particular, 2 minutes from the airport bus. The street did seem to be located in one of the party areas but the complex itself is very quiet. The apartment was modern and clean with a powerful shower. Just to advise that the room is only serviced every second day so something to keep in mind for towels and toiletries replacement (I'm sure reception would supply more if requested). Was perfect for a girls trip away, would recommend.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my 18 and 19 year old daughters. We were happy with our apartment, it had everything you might need for your stay. We were kindly given a 2 bedroom apartment rather than a 1 bedroom which I had initially booked via jet2. The apartment was centrally located so we walked everywhere and there were many places to eat, grab a drink or buy groceries from nearby. The reception staff were nice and helpful and organised a transfer from the airport for us and this cost 34 euros for up to 4 people which was reasonable. We got the airport shuttle bus back (100E) as it was a lot cheaper (about £6 for all 3 of us). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these apartments, can’t comment on the television as others have as we don’t watch tv when we are overseas.

First of all the apartments were perfect. They had everything you needed and were spacious enough. Cleaners came in to replace towels etc. Apartments were close enough to everything. The beds were comertable and amenities were apt to what we needed. Hotel sorted our transfers. Only issue we had was at 10pm at night it was hard to find. We were stressed, small signs and missed it so many times. Do not let this discourage you. I would highly recommend here for anyone visiting.

Liked = Location was great a short walk to main attractions, hop on hop off bus & lively bars and restaurants on a strip. Disliked = We arrived at 6pm. A party of 3. We were greeted with disgust by the receptionist upon arrival, after a few drinks on the plane we were tipsy, but not in a ‘state’ to warrant the receptionist rude treatment towards us. We got our keys and were taken to our room. Within a couple of minutes of us closing the door, the receptionist knocked and asked us to leave. This request was completely unwarranted, I asked what we had done wrong and the response was we were being too loud. We challenged this and explained we would keep the noise down, he promptly left us alone. However, he complained again the following day. This occasion was once again unwarranted, it was 7pm and we returned to get changed & showered to go out for the evening. On day 3 we knocked to request fresh towels, toilet roll and our room to be cleaned. We received 2 toilet rolls, 3 towels and a cleaner arrived to emptied 1 of our bins. We stayed for a total of 4 nights and didn’t get our room cleaned once. Other rooms were being much louder than us, yet we felt targeted throughout our stay for much less noise on a total of 2 occasions. Shame really because it’s a great location but the treatment and cleanliness was not what I was expecting or what we deserved.

Dear Jennie1620, Thank you for your review. The truth is that the other 2 ladies were totally drunk and we do not tolerate this. They were shouting at the reception and did other things (we do not want to mention). They were continuing this in the apartment. We asked you to be quiet because in the neighbouring apartment there was a 5 months old baby. Sorry but we prefer babies against drunk people. Kind regards Reception

Trendy Deluxe Apartments is lucky to be located near city center and near to many coffee places, restaurants, ATMs and so on. The apartment was not amazing, but OK and furnished with good taste. The view from the apartment was meh,,,basically you go out on the balcony and see your other neighbors from the other side very close to you. You can shake hands :)) Another thing not very nice is that it is a little difficult to find when you arrive there for the first time. But you will get accustomed very fast with the entrance.

The bath has mould round it, floors were dirty. Hallways were like a place you’d expect to see homeless drug addicts. Complained to manager laszlo barabas only to be told if I don’t accept it I can leave, he doesn’t care. Really appalling attitude to and criticism.

We booked directly with the apartments and were offered a free transfer from the airport. I had a couple of questions so emailed the apartments, the communications were excellent and very prompt. On arrival outside the apartments we were greeted by a member of staff who showed us to the apartment, He then gave us a tour and explained where everything was and how it worked. The apartment was lovely it was very spacious and had everything you could possibly want, even a washing machine! We had a DVD player and had brought a couple of films with us as there is only really a news channel in English. The apartment had a separate bedroom with a balcony with a table and chairs, the bed was comfortable and we both slept really well. Plenty of space for your belongings. The kitchen was very well equipped and a bottle of wine was left on the table which was a lovely touch. The lounge had a large TV and a large balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was modern and spacious and the shower very good. All the staff were helpful and friendly, the cleaning staff did a good job too. The apartments were very central, within easy walking distance of all the main sights, bars and restaurants.
