We only stayed one night as we passed through on the way to Budapest. It was lovely, quiet and the staff warm and friendly. We ate traditional Hungarian food at the hotel restaurant and it was well paired with the local wines. Quite enjoyable! The location is quiet, no real 'tourist' traffic. A typical European quaint hotel :)

This is a gem in the wilderness. While it’s far from Budapest if you are in Eger it is a great place to stay. The rooms are modern, clean, nicely appointed, except for facial wash cloths not present. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Kodmon.

We asked a double bed, we got 2 separate beds. When I complain to the recetionist, he gave us a piece of sponge, to put it in the hole between the beds...it was falling down all night, made our night really uncomfortable. The next day after the 2nd complain they said the dont have room with double beds...????? Avoid the hotel's restaurant, they charge 12% service price, which is way over than anywhere in Hungary (and the service is poor, the waitress couldn't talk english) The wellness is small, the water is way too cold in the small pool, and the jakuzzi is working outside of the building, for extra.

Stopped here on our way to Budapest. Well run hotel. Clean and safe. Nice rooms with plenty of storage and nice linens and comfortable beds. Good bathrooms and warm room. Included a safe and wifi. Good breakfast provided and we had enjoyed a hearty dinner with wine at the hotel in the evening with traditional Hungarian dishes. Nice as a stop over or as a nice place to relax and recharge. Would recommend.

This hotel is only steps from the Valley of the Beautiful Women with over 40 wine tasting venues. You can drink until you almost drop and still walk home without needing to take a cab or drive while under the influence. The hotel is quiet and clean. We had a suit in the front of the building and could hear revelers returning home in high spirits on the weekend. Might be better to book a room on the quieter side of the building. The Lakosztaly suite (#20) was spacious and I really liked the jetted tub. The hotel offers a spa, sauna, etc, but I never got that far. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night and there wasn't time to enjoy all the options. Next time we will book more days in Eger! We went to breakfast early Sunday morning. We may have been the first guests to dine. The scrambled eggs were a bit old/dry and the sauteed vegetables too salty. But the usual Continental fare was fine and so was the machine coffee. We were given coupons for 10% off at the hotel restaurant across the street, but ate at the Kulucs Csarda instead. Best food in Hungary!

We`ve spent a long weekend here right during harvest season. Hotel is located right in the middle of the Valley, so wide selection of local wines and food are really in front of the door. Hotel itself is nice and clean, proper selection of breakfast, wellness is also small, but was not crowded at all during our stay. Staff is friendly, if you`re asking for help. In general, you`ll have all what you need, however might have expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel. Main reason behind could be space limitations, but indeed recommend to stay there. Hint: Free parking till end of the road, if you can`t find allocated lot in front of the hotel (only 2-3 of them). Otherwise you`d have to pay for parking.

We stayed for just one evening at the Kodman and thoroughly enjoyed our respite. Eger is a joy and the food and hospitality of the Hotel was above reproach. We will certainly be back. We were part of a tour group and heard nothing but praise for this property.

I spend couple of nights with my husband in this hotel. We had really nice and big room with big bath. Breakfast was delicious and big choice of food. Pool a bit small full of kids, and unfortunately jacuzzi was outside. Didn't like sun-beds as they weren't very comfy. I like Eger so definitely will go back. Lovely staff very helpful.

Small hotel in the Valley of the beautiful women. Distant from city center. Acceptable size of room (superior) and suite. Noisy. Terrible spa (saunas not working, small pool full of children jumping and shouting -no policy on this-, jacuzzi separate, needing to walk out of spa and go around the hotel). Breakfast unimpressive. Will not repeat.

The last Christmas with my Hungarian father in Eger. The lunch was very-very delicious. The staff is very flexibel. The restaurant was beautiful. Our family found this Christmas evening a most memorable of our Christmas evenings in Eger.
