For breakfast there is nothing to eat for kids and teens. No fruits. No juice (just some juice with too much water that you just drink water no juice). In the evening lunch very similar - no fruits, no vegetables or salads. Food is too specific for kids so there were days when kids didn't eat almost anything. Another thing is that teenagers had to sleep in one bed( there wasn't separated beds inside our room ) or in one bed with mother. You can imagine how terrible is this experience for teenager boys. Double bed was ok and pillows there was also ok, but extra bed was much too hard and the pillow as terrible.

The staff was kind, and the location is great, and I have no more positives. The place in realty is a lot worse, than visible in the pictures. Not just outdated, but a lot of items are overused. No AC, the bathroom is a small hole (our door hit the toilet every time, when we opened it). The sound insulation is poor. The elevator is very small. The brekfast service need some upgrades too.

Good hotel at excellent location in city centre. Maybe slightly outdated however. An upgrade, especially the food catering, would do wonders. Parking at the hotel, reception will give details how to get there. Room and bathroom were good. Only some rooms have air conditioning, this is a minus. Our room had a fan. Restaurant caters for breakfast and half pension only. Diner for the day is fixed with little choice, no a la carte. Food quality average: for the masses. Wifi is available and good. Elevator is a bit small. Personell really do their best to help you, despite language difficulties sometimes (we speak German and English). We would book again but ask for room with a/c.

I did not expect much but I thought that 3 stars category would afford our little family minimum hotel comforts. Upon arrival however it turned out to to be tourist category 1980s facility where absolutely everything has brought me down memory lane. These things aged however and have not been replaced with anything new. We have booked the best there was on offer- an apartment, which was actually in a seperate residental building above the pub! Big deciding factor about this establishment for me was the large balcony but since it wasn’t actualy in the main hotel there was only tiny balcony above the buzzer with no chairs. Our accomodation was just dated one bedroom flat, I tried to change it to the main building but was told this is the best they had in terms of suites. We had taken the package with half board. The food was practically the same every day... but our sensitive stomachs were fine so must have been freshly cooked. Location is absoluty best in Heviz, you roll out of bed and are at the bus stop or at the medicinal lake, which we highly recommend visiting. With the renovation they could become the top hotel, it is a shame it went in such decline over the years. We were using various services during our stay in town and the hotel does not appear to be highly regarded among the locals... We have experienced some issues during our stay but at the end we were shown a measure of goodwill so I need tp give them a credit for customer service and added one star as I wanted to rate it two stars initially.

This is hotel is a nice one to stay in, when you visit the lake, and you want to keep the expenses low, but you want to stay in the center of the city. The half board is OK, however there is no open bufet for dinner, so you have choose from 2 possible menus. This is a retro hotel, so the rooms could have been renovated.

This was my second visit to this hotel, because last year I found it very good. This time it was the same. It is next to the bus station and very near to the termal lake. The food is good, for breakfast one can eat lots of different kind og food, everyone can find whatever he likes. The beds are confortable, the towels and bed linen are good quality. The staff is very kind and helpful. Each room has balcony.

Hotel is situated in city center, older building but inside is renovated. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast and dinner were ok,but nothing special. Own parking (3,5 eur per day). Very close to thermal lake.

My gal pal and I traveled to Heviz for a night to enjoy the lake and spas. We loved our stay at the Majerik. At first sight we were nervous--the building looks a little decrepit, shabby and communist-y on the outside. However the inside is much more important, and made for a great stay :) Our room was warm and comfy. We had a lovely 11 HOURS of sleep on the beds, best I've had in a long time. The receptionist, I don't know her name but SHE WAS WONDERFUL!!! If you are reading this you deserve a promotion. Thank you so much for your help. She let us use the jacuzzi, lent us a bag for our swimsuits and noodles for the lake, and overall was very patient. We didn't end up having enough time for the massages here but if you get a massage, get one here it's way cheaper than anywhere else. The breakfast was not terrible, I had muesli cereal and cucumber/tomato salad so hey, no complaints when it's free. Oh and ALSO I forgot the LOCATION!!!! It is perfect. So close to all the restaurants and only a 5 minute walk from the lake. Way closer than the shmancy overpriced Danubius. And it was literally right next to the bus stop. Overall, if you're on a student budget this is a great place to go. If you're lookin' for something fancy this is not your place but if you want a great night's sleep, perfect location and a fun night for $30, the Majerik is the best!!
