This is a review of some facilities of the hotel. Used medical services and some treatment at the hotel. The main problem is staff. Courtesy - 0 points. No smiles, rarely get “good morning” and only in Hungarian. Not sure why business is still operating when every customer is not welcome. Respect - 0 points. Imagine you are undressing for a procedure when a staff member (male of female) walks into your supposed to be private cubicle to deliver towel or take away a rubbish bin. Imagine now that it happens every time. Quality - 2 points. Some staff members are putting an effort, while other ignoring completely. Masseuse did not even ask if I am cold, comfortable or anything. Do I have an area of concern- it does not matter. I understand that language barrier might be a problem, but hey, I had a massage in Japan where no one spoke any English, but people managed to make my visit perfect. Pool area - 2 points. You’d think that COVID downtime would allow making repairs, but broken tiles are there, waiting for you to cut your toes. Change room - 0 points. I haven’t been to one, but I have a feeling that a low security prison cell in Netherlanlands is bigger. The change room has a dozen of lockers and only one person can actually use it a time. Staff goes around and turn of light in the change room, so you open a door and step into a puddle of water in a darkness - good luck not to break anything. Motion enabled sensors are 10 Dollars a pair these days and the problem solved. Te bottom line. The only place that may be a satisfactory is Europa Fit hotel out of three other places I have been to.

We stayed just 2 nights. Hotel has excellent location - close to lake, good food quality, we had clean, quiet, renovated room. Cons: poor service - like people are still living in socialism here. Certainly bellow average service, no smile on face. Room service did not clean our glasses at all, they hardly touched our beds. I am sure they cleaned room in 2 minutes. There is always something missing or broken in hotel restaurant. ( no spoons, no knives, no glasses, no sugar, no coffee in coffee machine, ...) Juices (chemical) during breakfast available with small,1 dl glasses only ! Just one tea bag and one coffee bag per day and person in room - ridiculous for 4 star hotel. They advertize a special offer for "Spineliner" on portable banner in the middle of the corridor and if you want to order it - the say : sorry service is not available during weekend ! But banner is there whole week including weekend ! It is easily portable banner, so it would be sufficient to move it to another room when service is unavailable. Or just turn it around. But apparently this requires too much work ... so they better advertize something you cannot buy if you stay just over weekend. Who cares ? Prices in the city are high, adjusted to german guests. Much higher than in non-tourist areas in Hungary, but this is true for every popular tourist area. Overall I would rate it as clean, OK hotel, a bit overpriced with poor service.

The location of this hotel next to the lake is wonderful, no question but there were lots of small indications that this place is in decline. More on that later. My chief reason for giving an average rating (which in my books means look elsewhere) is the staff. Disengaged is the best I could say, totally disinterested is the worst. The front desk did not offer to explain how the watch like devise, which allows you entrance to the lake, works. The staff working in the restaurant do not greet you or come to your table to get you drinks. The nights we were there we had to flag them down and even still we had nearly completed the meal by the time our wine came. The woman in the spa area (pool and sauna) was completely disinterested and when we asked any questions, totally unhelpful. Whenever I was there she spent the entire time talking loudly to someone. These people need professional training. No smiles from anyone. This isn't 1995. Now the facilities. Bed and Bathroom. Those are the pass or fail points. Both reasonable. The shower did send a blast of water throughout the bathroom when I turned it on so beware of its force and angle. Now to things I didn't like. For the life of me, I could not adjust the room's temperature using the wall control. The TV bracket was loose and it constantly dipped to an unwatchable position. The room safe was not bolted to anything. The bar/cafe was not open the entire time I was there so forget about drinks when the restaurant isn't serving. The pool/sauna area was nice (staff not included in that comment) but tiles were missing and the hot tub had a blacken control knob which looked as though it had seen an electrical short. Turns out you need to get the attention of the lady who turns it on. Went down to have an early morning sauna and it wasn't even on. Conclusion: Look at another place. There are lots of choices nearby, why settle for average?

This hotel is beautifully decorated and in a perfect location in Heviz, our bedroom was lovely, clean and comfortable with views overlooking the park. The lake is minutes away, as are the restaurants and shops in this lovely town. Getting a wristband that entitles you to free entrance to the lake for the duration of your stay is great. The hotel wellness swimming pool is lovely. It's warm and bubbly and comfortable to relax in. Unfortunately, due to the sulphates in the pool maybe (?) many areas of the hotel really honk of eggs! The main let down for this hotel is the food and dining area. Although the staff were friendly, it lacked the professionalism I would expect from such a beautiful hotel. Food was uninspiring and was allowed to run out so I would advice you to get down for your meals early. (Especially if you want ice cream or a fried egg)! Cups run out, water in the coffee machine run out. In the evening, you are not automatically offered drinks by the waiter so unless you manage to get one of their attention, there will be no drink to have with your meal. The service just wasn't slick enough, It's such a shame! The other disappointment, was that I booked a facial for my last day, I waited in the reception area to be called in. After a 10 minute wait, I went to find out what was going on and learned that the facial had been cancelled, yet nobody had told me! I was so disappointed! This hotel could so easily be excellent, it's a shame it is not! Overall I would go back to this hotel, but given the option I would eat out ....... even my breakfast!

Excellent location, a few meters from the famous Heviz Lake. The staff was extremely nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the building was quiet during the night. They gave us bracelets to access the lake. Downside: the food was only ok. Breakfast had no cereal for children.

a very good hotel, all you need is there, and there is an excellent acces to the Thermal lake, the indoor swimming pool temperatures around +30 the lake about +20 degrees, very relaxing , if one want to stay several days buy a all day free acces to the Lake, bring some kind of a hat if you are swimming in the lake in the winter months ( sometimes minus 15) in Heviz village there are a lot of small shops and restaurants, Heviz is 2 hours drive from the Budapest Airport .

One can visit the hotel any season . In winter it is even more exiting for swimmers on open air and inside the building for non swimmers. Broad range of choice in selected food. A good pre-treatment for Your legs and arms during the whole year. . .

The hotel is ok, good size room, clean, tidy, comfortable. The lake is really really close, we can walk there within few second. The wellness part of the hotel is not too big, but good. Our problem was that in the restaurant the staff didn't clean the tables, maybe just 1x a day. We had breakfast. After we had lunch at the same table, which had some mess left from our breakfast. Dinner at other table. Next morning the table still was messy, when we went there to have breakfast. There are not too much table, and I never ever seen any hotel, where the staff didn't clean them!

The only positive what I can mention is the hotel location. The hotel is very near to the lake Hévíz. We bought the ’ refreshing days in Hévíz’ package (2 nights). We got a classic double room with lakeside what they surcharged. The lakeview is not worth it, you can not see a lot the lake through the trees. The welcoming massage was in the package, 20 minutes massage, we took extra 20 min. massage with it, but it is not really worth it. The quality of the massage was not good. We woke up two times at 7.30 in the morning because of big noise, they were working in the garden. The package includes half board, while the dinner was ok, the breakfast didn’t meet with normal standards. The fruits and vegetables were not fresh, they put a lot of salt in the omlet, most of the food were greasy and not tasteful. We had the impression that the hotel personal were not at all motivated.
