One of my favorite places not only in Cote d'Ivoire; makes you feel at home, relaxed. Great to hang out in the garden, at the bar, great breakfast, friendly staff. I come back every time I am in Abidjan.

I have been going to Villa Anakao for 2 years now which should give a hint how much I love this oasis in the heart of Abidjan. Away from the center but easily accessible this Guest House is located within a nice garden and has all the facilities you want. Quiet, peaceful, lovely tenant and staff and an amazing shop where you can find local art and crafts. This is my home in Abidjan ! So I invite you to make it yours too....

Well worth being outside the centre of Abidjan especially if meetings are not in centre. Owned by a French couple with businesses in CI. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Delicious evening meals and continental breakfast and decent sandwich at lunch. Can organise massages, mani/pedi and there’s a gym with lovely views over the pool. Decent lap pool. Honesty book for bar.

I stayed at Villa Anakao for one night for work and it was a lovely experience. The rooms are great (spacious, good AC, nice views, clean) and the actual establishment is so quiet, beautiful and peaceful (it felt like I was on a retreat!). The manager Laurence and all the staff are all very friendly too, and it feels cozy and homely. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and look forward to staying there again soon!

This suited us because we did not want to stay in the large city centre hotels which all look the same. This is a really lovely hotel. Lots of thought put in to nice touches, staff were lovely. Honesty bar and mini bar in room too. Everyone could not have been more helpful. Security on the gate to the garden and this is also in a secure, gated community amid large domestic houses. Not quite walkable to Rue des Jardins for eateries at night, short taxi ride. Super breakfast with everything you could want. Perhaps a quirk of the hot water system but our bathroom had underfloor heating, it was 30 degrees ! Not one taxi driver knew where this was, we had to direct them, good job we could use Google maps. If the driver can get to Rue des Jardins or Nuit de Saigon that helps. Owner Mrs Lawrence Phillppe was extremely helpful before we left home, in giving us some tourist help, [this was needed because there is NO tourist advice in Abidjan that we could find. This hotel would suit anyone but especially first time visitors wanting a top quality homely place and not a major chain.

This place has a beautiful garden and pool and is quiet and peaceful. However I paid €140 for a room where the ceiling is so low you hit your head when you get out of bed. In addition after paying so much I asked to use their photocopy machine to copy a few pages I needed for work. I was told I may only copy 3 pages and should rather go do it somewhere else! Could they not have spent €1 of the €140 to make a guests life easier???

Dear Aviv, Thank you very much for taking time to review your stay with us. I'm happy to hear that you've enjoyed our lovely garden and swimimg pool although I'm very sad you didn't enjoy your room. The room where you were accomodate is a lovely room with a bed in mezzanine, so with a lower ceiling but with large place downstair with a desk and space. The price is 115 €, it is what you paid, the price you mentionned includes your food and beverages. Concerning the photocopy, I regret you didn't ask yourself because it's a real miscommunication, your collegue asked me if you can do photocopies and I said yes of course but I've just asked him if it was for around 3 photocopies or a lot, he didn't answer anything special and never come back to me!!! It was just a question, not at all a specific limit in the quantity of photocopy! I would have pleased to offer you some photocopies! I hope you could come back another day for me to give you a better impression of our place. Warm regards, Laurence

I spent up to 2 weeks at Villa Anakao while in Abidjan for work. Located in a safe neighborhood and close to good restaurants and cafes, the hotel/guest house brings in a family atmosphere and makes you feel quite at home. The room was clean, the a/c worked well, the wi-fi fairly reliable , and the minibar well furnished. Perhaps Villa Anakao's greatest asset is the manager; in short, she's super helpful and kind, and will make anything to make you enjoy your time at Villa Anakao. 2 quick tips for future improvements: 1) There's an urgent need for someone--other than the manager--speaking even basic English; 2) the breakfast and dinner menus may benefit from greater choice. Overall, a nice experience!

Great small hotel. I have stayed here several times over the last couple of years and always look forward to coming back. Very friendly staff, good food and quiet and peaceful. Nice clean pool with a poolside bar area for a drink at the end of the day. Internet speed is the best that I have experienced in West Africa. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a more homely experience than the standard hotels.
