Overall a good hotel, spacious and clean rooms. We booked our room on tripadvisor and sadly they tried to charge breakfast twice. I had to contact booking.com to fix the matter. Breakfast buffet has almost only chinese food.

Horrible experience with this hotel. Stay away if you can!The most horrible hotel I have ever stayed! Property is huge but definitely rundown! Total booked 5 rooms in a row for Shanghai exhibition on June 2014. Rooms given were rundown with broken furniture & old dirt on the floor carpet. Can't imagine they could rent the rooms out with such poor conditions and claimed themselves as 4-5 stars, personally I don't think they deserve a star. Service is terrible! No one can speak proper English and if you do speak Mandarin your anger will be higher to communicate with the staffs, there is no proper manner and you can see customers are always arguing in the front desk when u passing by. Breakfast is disgusting with full of oily foods and the only thing is safe to consume maybe only the bread. Wifi? There is no wifi in the room and lobby wifi u can get if you are lucky enough. Lan line internet is charged at RMB100 per day. Location wise, near nowhere and the only transport to travel around is taxi. During exhibition time you can hardly get a taxi from outside of the hotel as most of the taxi will be taken by outside passenger. Even there is staff to help to call for taxi it will be long queue and take long time to come. Horrible experience! Stay away if you can!

The Eiffelton is a nice Hotel. The room and toilet very clean. We had a nice view to the beautiful Huangpu Bridge, especially at night. The friendly staff tries to be helpful but it is very difficult because they hardly speaks English. Breakfast is served in a huge dinning room, but it is mainly Chinese breakfast. Quite an experience. The Hotel is located far from the center, so you need to order a taxi to go anywhere. I will recommend this Hotel only for a group with a local guide. .

Stayed here in November 2012 while on a week-long trip to China. Really don't have anything to complain about...with hotels I'm just happy with a clean room, safe location, and courteous customer service. The lobby when you enter is huge. I thought customer service was good and the breakfast was decent too. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were pretty nice. The only thing I noticed and wished it had were places to walk to. Kinda felt it's in the middle of nowhere but you can call a taxi to take you anywhere you want to.

It's been a while since I stayed at the Eiffelton in Pudong. Pudong is on the new side of the river. The rooms are quite nice and worth the discounted rate I was paying. The hotel also serves as a package hotel and for this reason, I don't think I would choose this hotel again. The other reason is how ripped off I felt at the attached Chinese restaurant. I ordered the ravioli which was listed at about $20, a bit steep for a pasta dish I thought. The dish arrived with exactly one ravioli on it. I laughed out loud. The manager acted as if this was standard and that it was to be expected. I told him he had to be kidding and sent it back. Very hard to take the manager seriously after that. I allowed him to replace my meal with a different order because the Eiffelton is near absolutely nothing. It's a short taxi ride and a very long walk to the nearest metro station. I would give this place a miss and stay on the other side of the river.

Stayed here for one night on a weekend before my business trip. One of the most pathetic experiences I have ever had on a foreign trip. The entire hotel staff does not know proper english - not even the reception team. The reception hall was clogged with some sort of refugee crowd and the smell of beer and cigarettes filled the aroma. It was horrible to enter such a scenario. The hotel did not have a single decent vegetarian dish on the menu nor was the chef willing to make any changes to what was available. Ended up traveling outside for 12 kms in a taxi, all again thanks to the concierge desk who could not understand or explain the locations i wanted to go to. The telephone executives were always rude. At one point of time, I was even refused a matchstick box in a smoking room and the service desk had the guts to suggest that i step outside the hotel and buy a lighter for myself. All this while the refugee crowd at the reception was smoking away to glory in the main lobby. Final word, If you are and outsider / foreigner in China - Please do not go to this hotel. Will never even think about coming back again.

This hotel was ok. It is in a remote location but the staff are friendly and I would recommend a massage... However, when booking this hotel it stated there is a swimming pool and sports complex on site. This is partly true,as they are situated about half a mile away and there is an expensive extra cost to use the facilities!

Stayed one week at hotel to take part in an exhibition at Pudong. The hotel is an extensive hotel complex with more than 10 buildings next to a golf driving range by the river. It is not particularly convenient for public transport because nearest subway is TangGiao on Line#4 which is a good 20 minutes walk. If you are prepared to take taxi, then this is a nice and quiet hotel with larger rooms and river view at a very reasonable price below US$100 a night. This hotel is situated in the EXPO2010 area which the authorities are still wondering what to do with after the 6-month long show, so expect a very quiet environment if you go walking. Our team were pleasantly upgraded to larger rooms with two double beds in each room, and my corner room has a side view of the river. Although I asked for non-smoking room, I had to leave window open for 2 days to clear residual smell of smoke in room. Usual 4 to 5 star room facilities like fridge, kettle, hairdryer and even an umbrella in room, but mini-bar was a bit basic. In room internet is free via wired broadband, which is not fast but sufficient for emails. Wireless internet is available in public area but I did not try it. Breakfast is a good buffet spread but biased towards Chinese food. Staff are generally helpful even when busy, but do not expect lots of smile. Airline lost my luggage and porter was considerate enough not to wake me up at 2am when airport staff delivered my missing suitcase, he let me have a good night sleep and call at 8am. I will be happy to stay in this hotel again and enjoy the breakfast watching big ships sail down the HuangPu river.
