Casa Wagner welcomes you in a unique historic setting on the main square of the citadel where hospitality is at its best. The 400 years old building is on the list of historic monuments of the Unesco World herritage. Each corner has minutely been redecorated and refurbished with antique furniture. The restaurant provides a variety of international and traditional cuisine to please all senses. The wine cellar is the attraction of the house due to its cosy atmosphere.

First of all the staff is amazing. They are so helpful and kind. Especially the dark haired young woman on 10/31-11/1. However the rooms leave a lot to be desired. I had no hairdryer and only one hanger. Really?! However, the rooms are very clean. One of my team members had a obnoxious smell for a couple of days. Why? For older people like me with mobility issues, the steps were not very good, However, the breakfast food, especially the scrambled eggs and bacon were excellent. Sorry that this paragraph said this is a mixed bag.

The GOOD: comfortable bed, nice comforter; best feta at breakfast; bathtub (we like baths) The BAD: Very dim lighting in room; no updates, ever: the bedspread, towels and carpeting have got to be decades old. The bedspread was dirty and torn; the towels threadbare, frayed and some torn (although clean); the bathtub with a shower sprayer, but no holder for it or shower curtain/wall, so water would go everywhere; no "do not disturb" sign, and telling the front desk we don't want service didn't work; keys/locks to room are difficult to work > dangerous. (One couple in our group just left their room unlocked); 2 chairs in room, one broken. No coffee/tea/water for drinking in room The WORST: breakfast opens at 8am. Coffee machine in breakfast area operated by pressing a button (that guests operate). When we attempted to get coffee to bring to our room at 6 am (same easy to operate button) the night clerk heard the machine, rushed in and tried to grab the cup, saying "No coffee until 8"....Terrible customer service. This guy doesn't belong working with people. (The other night clerk was fine with early coffee, admitting that he, too, drinks coffee before 8)

This is a very big dissapointent, you would think a hotel in the middle of a turist focused city like Sighisoara would be at least clean, the rooms were filthy, i found a very large (and empty) suitcase and a pair of dirty underpants🤢, the dust was 2 cm thick, the carpets where so dirty you would think twice if you would step on then or around them. The food is awfull, the table sheet dirty. This was a very very bad experience

A very nice hotel in the center of Sighisoara, clean, very helpful staff. The hotel doesn't have parking so be carful you have to park your car outside of the fortifications. The rooms are relatively small to what you might be used to but overall a very nice hotel.

Casa Wagner has a great location, right in the central plaza. The staff are very friendly, respectful and made our entire stay comfortable. I loved the style of the hotel. It’s very antique. The rooms are big.

This review is for their outdoor cafe, not for the hotel itself. I found an empty table and I sat there, there was still food from previous customers on the table- a waiter came and took the plates away but did not bother to wipe the table ( during COVID pandemic) and then for 15 minutes no one came to take our order. My boyfriend went inside to call the waiter and the waiter told him “if you’re that impatient, you can go somewhere else”. No comment, so rude!

Hotel Casa Wagner is in a historic building within the Sighisoara castle walls, facing the central plaza, and close to popular sights such as the clock tower, church and museums. I stayed with a group of friends. My room had twin beds, wardrobe, telephone, flat screen TV, small fridge, and tiled bathroom with large tub, toilet and sink. The beds were comfortable, but unfortunately my sleep was interrupted by a loud dog barking at 4:30am outside my window. Hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, featuring scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, 3 types of cereal, several types of luncheon meats, sausages, cheese, tomatoes, breads, pastries, juice, coffee and tea.

This elegant boutique hotel is in the centre of the citadel in the old district. Step outside to the 13th century Clock Tower, the house where Vlad the Impaler was born and The Venetian House. Surrounded by lovely restaurants and eclectic gift shops, this is location, location, location. The only thing to keep in mind is that being an old building there is no lift so if you can't carry your own luggage up the stairs then request a ground level room.
