I stayed here about 8 years ago and chose to stay here again simply because of its proximity to the Santuario Padre Pio. Not much has changed in the past 8 years. The rooms are extremely basic - with a bed, desk, tv, mini fridge and a little storage space. The room had a joint balcony with two other rooms. Pros - The best part about this hotel is its location - just a 2-minute walk to the Santuario Padre Pio. - Staff are great and very helpful. - Housekeeping come in every day and did a good job cleaning up. - The water was nice and hot and with great pressure. - Restaurant on site which was convenient even though the food was not exceptional. - Mini fridge in the room. Cons - The shower area is extremely tiny - not much wider than a normal-sized body. Best of luck trying to soap up! - A single plug point near the door. If you need to charge your phone at night, you’ll have to get out of bed to reach it in the morning. - No kettle in the room. But tea and coffee are available in the bar downstairs. - Air conditioning didn’t work. Couldn’t leave the balcony door open at night as the balcony is shared with two other rooms. - No way to lock the main door from the inside. Anyone with the key could just walk in (as housekeeping did one day). There should be an additional lock or latch for security. - Breakfast was abysmal - a few dry cakes, toast, a plate of cheese/salami, fruits and a coffee machine. - Wifi Signal was extremely weak on the 2nd floor and devices would rarely be able to connect. Overall, you get what you pay for. The bus stop is a minute away. A taxi from Foggia station costs 60 EUR. A day trip to Mont Sant’Angelo by taxi costs 80 EUR (return fare with a waiting time of two hours)

+ Very good breakfast. For an overnight stay it was a good deal. Location is SUPER PERFECT if you intend to go to the Sanctuary. It is also very near to the bus stop between San Giovanni Rotondo and Foggia. Good and strong wifi in the room. - Not enough electrical sockets. Soap and shampoo is just enough for one shower. Shower area is quite cramped.

I booked this hotel for my family of 4. Check in was ok, but that's about it. We walk into a VERY hot room. Turned on the air conditioner which had hot air coming out. We were told to wait about 30mins and it would cool down. Well after 2 hours there was no change. We where then transferred into 2 separate rooms (so yes we couldn't stay together in one room) and that wasn't much better. We where then told that the air doesn’t get any colder. Our rooms bathroom facilities where terrible. We couldn't shower in our room as it was a bath tub with no curtain. (see photo). We had to shower in our kids room where the shower was was that small that the kids found it hard to move around in. As our 4 night stay included breakfast we went in the following morning to eat hard bread, old croissants and watered down pineapple juice with not much else to choose from. We didn't return for breakfast the next 3 mornings, we ate out. Another thing that was terrible was their PAID underground car park. VERY tight squeeze and VERY dangerous getting in and out. We have stay in many hotels on our European trip that have been excellent, good and ok but this place was well below standards. The staff where trying to be as helpful as possible but did not fix any of the above problems. I am not one to complain about much, but do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

We stayed one night in order to visit the sanctuary which is only 100 metres away, the room was small but had a most comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom (shower only). The hotel is modern, we were lucky to get a parking space just across from the side entrance. Breakfast is fairly simple. Fabulous value.

We had a very lovely stay at the hotel. A quite, clean place with staff thats accommodating and kind. Their english was good, and on occasions when they couldn't understand me they were able to get someone who did . The room and bathroom was large and clean. We had a huge window with a great view of the street from our bedroom. The bathroom was very nice as-well, I believe the bathroom would be perfect if they added a little shelf or soap holder in the shower. A bar to be able to put your leg on, and a couple of towel holders behind the door or somewhere in the bathroom would great as-well. They provided a nice and easy breakfast every morning that was satisfying. The location was an easy 5 min or so walk to the church. It is a bit of an uphill climb but nothing too bad. Little shops, a market, and a good amount of restaurant are all located near the hotel, just a few mins walk to all of it, absolutely perfect location. Overall a very amazing stay and will be booking again on the next visit to San Giovani.

My family and I visited San Giovanni Rotondo to visit the San Pio Shrine. After a five-hour bus ride from Rome, we were delighted when we arrived as the bus terminal is next to the hotel (very convenient). Despite its proximity to the bus terminal, it was very quiet. More importantly, the shrine is less than 100 meters away! The rooms were larger than the usual (budget, mid-range) hotel rooms in Italy. The bathroom was very spacious too. Our stay came with free breakfast, and their spread is more than the basic fare we had in our hotel room in Rome. Needless to stay, our family and I enjoyed our stay because of the comfort, convenience, and accommodating staff (who helped us finding transport to Monte San't Angelo).

Stayed Oct 7 -12 on full board as part of an Irish Pilgrimage group. First meal we were given I bit into a screw, alerted staff to be told "No Madam" and served another serving of pasta from the same bowl that the screw had been in! Three of us staying in triple room but had to ask twice for third set of towels on arrival. Was told only one electronic key for each room. Two out of the next four days had no housekeeping in our room (511) alerted staff to be told "Not possible" After having them check out the dirty room and bathroom, no apology just passed us clean towels and took the dirty ones. Food was awful, everything came almost cold and with French fries....Ended up skipping the paid for meals on the final two days and going elsewhere to eat...Just couldn't take it anymore.

This hotel is within walking distance to the Shrine of Saint Padre Pio. It has a new building with very spacious bathrooms. Don't get a room in the old building. The buildings are connected with a hallway on the basement floor. Very nice place. Excellent dinner and very good location if you are visiting Padre Pio's shrine. I'm here with a group so I don't know the cost. I would stay here again.

I made a booking at this hotel for one night, due my purpose was to visit the San Padre Pio Shrine, and I can say that it was the best decition, for location, it is 2 minutes walk to the Shrine, for cleanliness it was superb, for comfort it was excellent, only one minute walk to the coach station, and the main reason for the qualities of members of the staff, friendly, empathy, confidence, sociability, attentive, I met two of them, the gentleman of the night shift was an excellent person, however Francisco is the best , he helped me with a problem i had with my luggage. The owners of the company must be very proud to have those two gentlemen as part of the team. if you are travelling to San Giovanni Rotondo, it is your hotel for a wonderful accommodation. Ps. it is 3 stars hotel, but should be 4 starts.
