Corinne and Eddy would be delighted to welcome you to their family-friendly hotel offering 12 rooms. Located right in the centre of the listed historical centre of Saint Goustan on the river of Auray, it is ideal for a romantic weekend break or family holiday to discover the beauty of southern Morbihan. For your comfort, the hotel offers a private bar, a breakfast room boasting a nautical theme with wooden beams and a large granite fireplace. On a fine day you can soak up the first rays of sunshine on the south-facing terrace.

Small Hotel facing water in Auray. Rooms are small, cute, small bathroom and shower and ours overlooked the river. Hosts are wonderful. Bar and deck for hotel guests only was great. Breakfasts lovely with homemade jams etc. Very competitive price and great bargain. A wonderful base for exploring.

This small little hotel is ideally situated next to the picturesque port de Saint Goustan and the historic center. There are a lot of restaurants in less than five minutes walking distance, but as the hotel itself is slightly set back it is very calm which is great. My room was not very big, but very well organized, very clean and decorated like the rest of the hotel in a nautical theme. In the morning I had breakfast (with homemade jam) on the little terrace outside which is reserved for hotel guests. Just some steps away from the hotel is a beautiful hiking trail which takes you along the river Auray and its lovely landscapes to the small harbour village Bono. I can only recommand the Hotel le Marin which offers good value for money.

This is a lovely little hotel owned by Corinne & Eddy, who are the best hosts in the business. We stayed for 3 nights, but a week would have been better. The rooms are bright, cheerful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a selection of tasty breads, croissants, jams, cream cheese, yoghurt, cereals and boiled eggs, plus really good coffee. This is my joint favourite hotel in France. There are plenty of restaurants within 3 minutes walk and quayside parking is only 50m away.

I recently stayed at the Hotel le Marin with my wife whilst visiting Brittany. The owners made us very welcome and ensured that we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location and close to local restaurants and shops. There is free parking about 5 minutes walk which was safe. Breakfast was fine and value for money. An enjoyable stay and would recommend.

The hospitality offered by Eddie and Corinne is second to none. For us, a great place to stay on our regular journeys to and from Spain before taking our ferry home from Roscoff. The rooms are beautifully appointed with superb comfy beds and quality bed linen and towels. Breakfast is typically continental, fresh and the jam with croissants delicious and home made. To park the car close by is easy and a short walk to restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets alongside the water.

The two star Hotel Le Marin in St Coustain/Auray is about as good as it gets and you should choose this place to stay if you wish to stay in the St. Coustain harbor here in Auray. I have stayed in 3 star hotels which are not anywhere near as nice, truly. It is just up the road from the harbor on the river, maybe 100 yards. It is a compact hotel with parking on the road nearby or up the road in a city parking lot. The hotel is extremely neat and clean, spotless is a better word, there is a bar and an outside patio with a river view. The room we had was small (with a nice window view of the river); there is just enough room to open two carry-on size rollies in the room but unless you plan to stay in the room a lot, this is not a problem. There are larger rooms, though, ask for them if you wish. Breakfast is nice, nothing wanting. The old town area is extremely small by the river with numerous restaurants and bars. Interestingly, it is also the place where Benjamin Franklin arrived from the then colonies to engage France as an ally in the American fight for independence from England beginning that which, as Humphrey Bogart said in the movie Casablanca, "a long friendship". Auray is 20 min by car from Carnac and the area of the prehistoric stone megaliths and dolmens which are believed to pre-date the Stonehenge monument in Britain. A wonderful part of France and a most highly recommended hotel experience: I seriously doubt one could do better anywhere in the area.

Upon our arrival they showed us two rooms so we could chose which one we liked best. We had a big room with terrace. Breakfast is basic but all the essentials are there. We also used the garage to put away our bikes at night. Located in the harbour of Saint Goustan, so great to explore the city.

Having just come across the receipt for our two night stay back in September 2016, it just conjured up memories of such a wonderful stay we had in this lovely hotel right in the centre of the town. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room bright and comfortable. We stayed here on route back to the UK and it was just a delightful end to our holiday

We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Marin. Located in the perfect area of Auray (2 minute walk away from the happening port area, 7 minutes away from the official center of Auray), it had plenty of street parking nearby. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, providing us with a lot of information about the area. We requested a room with 2 single beds, and it was very small, but cute. We didn't eat breakfast, so can't comment on that.

Corinne and Eddie are the most welcoming and perfect hosts you could possibly wish to meet. We had booked Le Marin some months in advance, identifying it by geography and reviews as an ideal place to tour southern Brittany. My son and I, plus a friend were touring on motorbikes and arrived hot after a long days ride. The welcome was everything you could wish for ...from the warmth of their smiles and greeting to the coolth of the beers that appeared on the table... to them removing their car from the garage so that we could park our machines there safely. The rooms were absolutely spotless with terrific showers and really comfortable beds. I'm 6'3'' with a potentially troublesome back and beds are important....these were perfect. It really doesn't seem to matter which room you choose because our three spread across two floors were equally superb. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and there are plenty of restaurants within a two minute walk for other meals. Both Corinne and Eddie were endlessly helpful in recommending where to eat, places to visit, roads to explore, etc. and happily engaged in our chatter and reflections on our days riding despite our rather rusty french. Everything about this establishment is charming and the fact that it is placed in such a perfectly beautiful spot is icing on an already great cake...we will certainly be back. Having read many of the other glowing reviews, I can only endorse all the positive points.
