Stayed her with both mums in their own rooms, both aren’t that agile now, so the only downfall is if you aren’t mobile then taxi to get back is very easy. Now all the good stuff, Rooms are small but lovely and the water was always hot, rooms were kept really clean by the maid every day. The views of the pool and sea are great, breakfast was always good and Sophia and her brother could not have been more helpful, even showing us the choices of rooms on arrival and helping us with baggage. Requesting a taxi not a problem and you are near to the open air cinema and winery’s. We have stayed at this resort 3 times previously and loved it, although this accommodation was my favourite, I would return without elderly parents in tow. The swimming pool is super clean and quiet 🤫 maybe best not to tell everyone how amazing this property is.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Sophia is the perfect host. A warm welcome and offers helpful tips for getting around the island and best places to visit. If you want peace, rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. The pool area is clean and no fights for sun beds. The location is perfect for the beach and restaurants. Views from rooms are amazing. Cleanliness is 10 out of 10. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Take a short bus ride to Fira well worth a visit. Go early in morning and check dates for cruise...

We recently stayed 3 nights here at Santa Elena. It’s a small boutique type hotel a few blocks from Kamari beach. Sophia and her husband were fantastic hosts and were very helpful throughout our stay with restaurant recommendations, things to do, bus information, and even printing off our ferry passes. She also put on a fantastic Greek style breakfast for guests each morning - it was wonderful! Even though this hotel is a few blocks from the beach and a bus ride to Fira, don’t let it deter you. It’s an easy, short bus ride to get to Fira and a 5 minute walk to the beach, but you gain the benefit of peace and quiet, while also not fighting for space and lounge chairs by the pool. And wow - the pool area here was beautiful! Especially after visiting the hustle and bustle in Fira, we are sure glad we stayed at the opposite side of the island.

Aah, were to start? We LOVED it here. Great staff, good breakfast. Close to everything, but far away enough for it to be Peaceful as well! The staff was so friendly, and the breakfast had a lot of different food, as well as the regular toast and stuff. And it was so great to cool down in the pool❤️ Thank you for a great stay!!

We visited Santorini for 4 nights and decided to stay at Santa Elena Hotel after reading a few good reviews - and we were not dissappointed! Sophia (the owner of the hotel) was super nice and helped with anything we needed. She provided us with maps for the island as well as some recommendations on what we could do concerning the duration of our stay - also she didn't hesitate to call 5 companies to find the one who would rent us a Quad for two days the cheapest. The breakfast was wonderful and the rest of the staff was also really friendy! The hotel is located only 5 minutes from the beach but also has a pool and the local open air cinema as well as bus conection is just around the corner. We can definitely recommend staying at Santa Elena!

This hotel is not only conveniently located near a bus stop, but it is also one of the most hospitable B&Bs ever.... and I didn’t even stay there. Sofia over extended herself in helping me and my family with our travels in Greece. She woke up very early for us to check in and leave our luggage before a day trip to Ios. When we returned she helped us connect to the WiFi and even though my cousins were staying the night in Kamari, Sofia made an exception and allowed me to freshen up in the room before my midnight ferry to Athens. My cousins loved their stay at Santa Elena, but Sofia was the best asset to our visit.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Santa Elena for a week in July and it was the best decision we could ever have made. As students we couldn't afford the lifestyle of Oia or Fira, and quite frankly, I couldn't be happier with our decision. The service was top quality as Sophia and her brother, as well as the rest of the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and give us recommendations about the best places to eat and explore. The breakfasts were unreal with a big variety every morning and the pool area was great for relaxing after exploring on quad bikes all day (which they organised for us). The rooms were extremely good too, and having good WIFI and air-con was such a game-changer. While Oia and Fira are nice destinations to view the sunset and see the typical Santorini-postcard sunset, Kamari and Santa Elena is definitely the place to stay. While I highly recommend going to spend an evening watching the sunset in both these places, the busy-ness is honestly unparalleled and you will literally be sardined between people trying to catch a glimpse of the sunset. Kamari is much more relaxing, cheaper and has a great beach to relax on. In summation, Santa Elena is all we hoped it would be and more.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights, we are a young couple and we couldn’t have wished for a better stay! Sofia was very kind and accommodating. We arrived at 7:00 in the morning, aware that our check in was only at 2:00. Sofia served us breakfast and made us feel very welcome from the get go. For the following three days Sofia and her brother were there to meet any of our needs and give us some useful tips for our stay. The breakfast were probably one of our favorite times of the day. Greek yoghurt, homemade treats and fresh fruit was always on show. All in all we had a fantastic time at Santa Elena and couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice to stay in Kalamari!
