Casa Pei is located in the village of Lucignano, in the very heart of Tuscany, a few miles away from Siena, Florence, Arezzo and Cortona. We offer a warm and quiet familiar environment where you may have unforgettable holidays in a countryside house within the walls of an ancient town. The house has justy been completely remodeled while maintaining the original structure and its traditional Tuscan style. The garden, on top of one of the four ancient doors of Lucignano, allows the guests to enjoy their breakfast or simply to read a book relaxing in front of the wide landscape of the Valdichiana. The large living room with a fireplace offers another space for indulging and relaxing during your stay. The roms are full-featured and allow to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Casa Pei.

Casa Pei is a small B&B delivering top notch service and spotless accommodations. The room we stayed in (girasole) has a large bedroom with ceiling fan, a second smaller room with a single bed and a large, spotless bathroom with a bathtub and shower combination. It also has a private balcony and a bench from which you can enjoy an uninterrupted 180 degree view of the Tuscan landscape of vineyards, olive trees, sunflowers fields, small farms and other surrounding medieval hill towns. The B&B is located within the historical medieval town center, itself at the top of hill, across a large valley/plane from Cortona/Arezzo. The owners are originally from the local area and could not be more welcoming. The B&B has been completely remodeled in the recent past and the breakfasts are anything one could hope for.

My friend and I only had one day and evening to spend in Lucignano. We are so glad we stayed at Casa Pei. The hosts were warm and kind. The house was beautiful. The garden and balcony had amazing views. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I have rarely stayed at a better B&B and at such a beautiful location. The rooms were spotless, the bathroom immaculate with clean, fresh towels, and the breakfasts fresh, and beautifully presented. No air conditioning, but the rooms are well ventilated and ours had a ceiling fan which cooled the room sufficiently Lastly, the owner and his wife really were lovely, and couldn't do more to make our stay comfortable, and a great experience.

Casa Pei was amazing!!! The excellent reviews were not wrong and we were so happy to have stumbled across this gem. Dino and Silvana were SO welcoming and their beautiful house in Lucignano was perfect. The town itself is a lovely small medieval hilltop village, but without being as overrun by tourists. Our arrival was easy and Dino gave us lots of great advice (and provided maps) for Lucignano as well as many of the surrounding towns in Tuscany (Montepulciano, Pienza etc). The breakfast was divine and seemingly endless. We especially enjoyed the homemade croissants (the best we've ever had) and the perfect fruit salad. Our room was delightful: large, clean, well-appointed and the bathroom was great. The gardens outside the house looking out of the beautiful rolling Tuscan hills were spectacular. We enjoyed ourselves so much and thought that the location seemed so convenient for exploring many neighboring areas that we looked into cancelling our next place in Umbria so we could stay longer (but it was not possible).

Lucignano is a magical town, and great base camp for touring Tuscany. But what really made our four nights there amazing, were our hosts Silvana and Dino. They have a beautiful home, thoughtfully decorated rooms, and serve a healthy and plentiful breakfast. Dino made sure we knew how to get to the other towns we were visiting and the most convenient places to park. Silvana sent us off each day with a bag of snacks and plenty of water. Casa Pei was our most luxurious and restful accommodation during our month-long trip, and best priced. Lucignano has a number of top-rate restaurants, which we weren't expecting in such a small town. We were there during the Maggiolata festival, which was a great way to feel like a local. You will leave this place feeling like part of the Pei family.

I stayed at Casa Pei for six nights in October, 2015. This is one of the two best B&B's I have ever visited (other is El Farolito in Santa Fe, New Mexico). Dina and Sylvana are so gracious and accommodating that it almost becomes embarrassing to ask for anything more. The room was spacious and comfortable (only two rooms available). My room had a bed room with attached bath and porch. The porch led around a corner to another tiny porch so you could choose the view and sun exposure that you refer. The bed was good and the furniture was comfortable, but not particularly elegant. There was also a separate sitting room of perhaps 50-60 sq. mt. and a fold-out bed. I happened to be there during the local olive harvest, and I asked Dino where to buy some fresh oil - he immediately insisted on setting up a private tasting with his private new olia virgina, fresh bruschetta and a bottle of Vino Nobile de Montepulciano. It was fabulous. Lucignano is small, on top of a hill, and offers attractive walks with moderate climbing. I enjoyed it so much that I spent probably 12 hours in the six days just walking around town. One interesting sight is the first church ever dedicated to Francis of Assisi. There are perhaps ten places to eat in or very to close to town, two or three of them apparently have some reputations. I did not try those. I ate twice at the Pizzeria le Bitti and loved it for the casual fine service and excellent pizza and very good house wine. A step up in ambiance and price was the restaurant La Tavernetta, also twice, also excellent. Both of those places are very short walks from Casa Pei. I drove there from the Avis office in Arezzo in about thirty minutes with no problems. There is also an excellent laundry in town near Casa Pei. While there I took easy day trips to Monteplulciano, Cortona, and Siena. This place is almost too good to be true!

We were lucky enough to win a 4-night stay at Casa Pei in our school's auction. Upon arriving at Casa Pei in the beautiful walled city of Lucignano, we were immediately treated like family. Dino and Silvana are the sweetest, warmest people and they spoiled us and our kids for our whole stay. The rooms are very comfortable and have a great view off the little balcony. However, what makes Casa Pei stand apart is Dino and Silvana. They are so welcoming and accommodating and the breakfasts make you excited to get up every day. Silvana's baking is world-class, from her pastries to her focaccia (my daughter's favorite), and special Christmas cookies and Panettone that we were lucky to enjoy on our last day! Every morning we had a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, cookies/biscotti, pastries and warm croissant, prosciutto and salame, espresso, and of course - fresh Tuscan Pecorino. Breakfasts were amazing! At the end of breakfast, Dino would ask us what our day's plans were and then put together a set of maps with tips for which roads to take, where to park, what sights to see. Lucignano is a perfect central location for visiting Siena, Arezzo, Pienza, Cortona, Montepulciano, Florence, Pisa, and even Rome. Dino's maps and directions were the best! Dino and Silvana really spoiled us during our stay and we hope we get to head back to Lucignano soon to visit them again. Their high ratings are completely justified!

We spent a week in the family home of Dino and Silvana who provided warm, friendly Tuscan hospitality with style. Set in an inner wall of this medieval town with Dino's beautiful, cherished garden and terrace overlooking the Valdichiana. Silvana delights in providing a full breakfast with extra touches of different fresh fruits daily. All lovingly presented and often with freshly baked cake to finish. They took delight in making us feel at home and were happy to let us use their kitchen to prepare and invite six friends for lunch. They set a table on the terrace for our party. Our ensuite bedroom was clean with extra room leading to stairs onto balcony from which to watch sunsets over the hills and valley. Perfect.

We highly recommend staying at Casa Pei. The house is beautiful, the rooms are wide & clean & nicely decorated and the view is amazing. Lucignano is great: lovely village & lots of great restaurants! When you choose Case Pei the owners, Dino and Silvana will treat you like you're in a 5 * hotel... Great service, food, drinks, tips & help. By far the best B&B ever! Loved the breakfast & drinks as well! We will miss them a lot...
