We were lucky enough to win a 4-night stay at Casa Pei in our school's auction. Upon arriving at Casa Pei in the beautiful walled city of Lucignano, we were immediately treated like family. Dino and Silvana are the sweetest, warmest people and they spoiled us and our kids for our whole stay. The rooms are very comfortable and have a great view off the little balcony. However, what makes Casa Pei stand apart is Dino and Silvana. They are so welcoming and accommodating and the breakfasts make you excited to get up every day. Silvana's baking is world-class, from her pastries to her focaccia (my daughter's favorite), and special Christmas cookies and Panettone that we were lucky to enjoy on our last day! Every morning we had a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, cookies/biscotti, pastries and warm croissant, prosciutto and salame, espresso, and of course - fresh Tuscan Pecorino. Breakfasts were amazing! At the end of breakfast, Dino would ask us what our day's plans were and then put together a set of maps with tips for which roads to take, where to park, what sights to see. Lucignano is a perfect central location for visiting Siena, Arezzo, Pienza, Cortona, Montepulciano, Florence, Pisa, and even Rome. Dino's maps and directions were the best! Dino and Silvana really spoiled us during our stay and we hope we get to head back to Lucignano soon to visit them again. Their high ratings are completely justified! …
