Welcome to Sicily and to our little family hotel. We are centrally located in the little fishertown of Sant’Alessio Siculo, at only 2 steps from the beach. We are exactly half way between Catania and Messina and only 15 minutes away from Taormina. You will be able to enjoy our beach club during the summer season distant only 5 minutes walking. There you can relax listening to some good music or having a mojito on the beach. For lunch or dinner we will be pleased to suggest some restaurants in the area or you can try our famous “pane cunzato” at the beach bar if you are looking for a light “sicilian” lunch. Our staff will be pleased to help you transforming your stay in an unforgettable experience.
Well located mid-range hotel with excellent value for money (5 min walk to the beach, restaurant, grocery store) and good rooms. Staff are friendly and supportive and can organise activities on request (Etna tour, car hire, transfers, etc.). Location provides you good possibility to visit Taormina and the typical Italian small towns shown in the Godfather films.

We needed a positioning hotel for Taormina early the next day - this hotel worked out pretty well. Very helpful and friendly staff. Small niggle #1 - two extra pillows would be better than one per room. Small niggle #2 - consider 'normal milk' in addition to unsweetened milk as an option for breakfast. Major issue - pretty noisy above us beyond the stipulated 10 pm quiet time - I was too tired after a late flight to really notice but be aware - i would insist on the top floor to avoid the shoe tapping effects on the roof. Otherwise, great stay.

A lovely traditional family run hotel with a relaxed atmosphere .The matriach, Donna, was always there to greet you with a smile . The staff were all very friendly and helpful.Their local knowledge and advice took us to lovely places we would not have otherwise not have visited which made a real difference to our holiday. The room was comfortable, clean and breakfast was good.

When I was reading other reviews, before I booked the hotel I was a bit skeptical about all the positive comments about Donna Rosa hotel. However, after being there I can claim that it is such a charming place as many other wrote. Our room, balcony, sea view, only 30 meters from the beach, hospitality of the staff, cleanliness, atmosphere, location (14km from Thaormina, surrounded by the two villages where "The Godfather" movies were filmed)...make this place an excellent choice for a vacation. All in all we got much more than we had expected. Coralie who runs the hotel brought in it the perfect combination of German sense of order and French charm, which together with the natural beauty of Sicily makes your stay remarkably pleasant. Special thanks to the receptionist Tatjana who made me more familiar with Sicily during my first visit than I'm with some of the places I've been to 10 times in my life. Finally,I would highly recommend this place to those who like both lazy days on the beach and exploring historical and natural sites, one thing is for sure you will not be bored.…

Had a wonderful experience staying in the Donna Rosa, a group of us were over for a wedding and the service we received here was akin to staying in a 5 star hotel. My shoes for the wedding went missing on the journey over (which I only noticed when we were about to leave for the wedding) and the owner drove to her own house and brought me a selection of lovely shoes to choose from, one of which I wore to the wedding. I don't know what I would have done otherwise! All in all a fantastic place to stay, you feel like you're in the real Sicily. Donna Rosa herself is fabulous too and gets up to greet guests coming in no matter what the hour!

Back again to this charming family run bed and breakfast in the typical Sicilian village of Sant Alessio . Less than 80 yards from the beach and short bus rides to many favourite destinations you will feel right at home here . Some rooms have sea views but all are equally as nice and spacious , the breakfasts are lovely and the staff just so friendly and accommodating . Each year we notice little touches designed at making life more comfortable . Highly recommended
