We come here three times, every time goes better, perfect seafood, cheaper and great service. Nothing else to say.
I came here one night and ate their "Cataplana de frutos do mar"(seafood stew), and I came back on the next day to eat it again - that's how good it was. I strongly recommend it! I also liked their Lingueirão (Grooved Razor Shell) entries.
Lovely street side restaurant to soak up the atmosphere. Service was very friendly and efficient. The seafood paella was superb very fresh fish .. lots to choose from on this vibrate street highly recommended for relaxed food food. Well priced affordable menu. Great chef
I went back to confirm my opinion and it still stands. If you are looking for a perfect spot for a delicious meal of fresh fish (amongst other dishes) with a calm, clean and charming environment in the Costa da Caparica area, this is the place....Look at display of fresh fish upon entry for better choice I recommend their tomato rice which keeps me crying for more. After an array of wonderful deserts to choose from, a stroll along the beach side will top you meal.More
Great place to enjoy great fish. Mandatory to try "peixe galo with açorda de ovas". Simply delicious! Prices are fair for the quality presented. Honest service. Familiar ambiance.
I had the grilled octopussy and this was the best I had. Prices are low and place was with local people. Use the portuguese menu when ordering as in the english one there are not all the dishes.
The PATA-ROXA restaurant lies over the bridge beyond the statue of Christ the King. This bright clean restaurant has been open for nine years. It is in the fishing village of Costa da Caparica which in itself is worth a visit to travel along the...coast on their famous little train as far as Fonte da Telha. The owner speaks perfectly good English but the menu (in English) is one of the funniest mistranslations to be found anywhere. All the fish available is on view as you come through the door. There is some meat on the menu but essentially this is a fish restaurant. White tablecloths, good cutlery and sparkling glass add to the overall experience. The wine list is enclosed in an encyclopedia of Portuguese wines. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner all year. It lies at the extreme western and of the PasseoMore
This is one of the best fresh fish restaurants in the area of Lisbon, and definetely in Costa da Caparica. The best of fishes, fresh every day for a great price. It is a "cheap" restaurant for the quality of products they offer. Not to...miss and it is just next to the beach!More
Pata Roxa is the place I go to when I'm not in an adventurous mood and only want a good meal in a decent setting. It is a place I can rely on for fresh and a great variety of fish and seafood available, good...service, and a nicely turned out traditional dish. Grilled fish here is always well prepared, and there are more options on how the fish and seafood are done. They also serve meats. The accompanying dishes are always satisfying, and desserts are quite good as well. Servings are quite big and good for sharing. The price is very reasonable and compared to other restaurants along the beach, is cheaper for the quality of food and service that you get. The interior is not that big in terms of area, but is quite interesting as one of the walls display art work or paintings that are being sold (they change artists from time to time) so it serves as a kind of gallery as well. The restaurant is located on the street side of Caparica, on the second corner from the left side of the main street (if you are facing the street side rather than the beach).More
Add the fish from the market just at the end of the street, a nice cook, some wine and you must have a good meal. This is just about what we got at Pata Roxa
