Small restaurant with mediocre food. We went here for late lunch and ordered different meals, like bruschetta, different types of pasta, salad and salmon carpaccio. The food didn’t impress us at all.

We did not make a reservation and were offered a place at the bar, which worked out very good. Got to taste different wines, nice bartender. The place is lively and with very nice small dishes to share. Go there for a bar like experience...with good food, not for a quite evening.More
One of the best Dorada I have ever tried. Great place to go out with great ambiance and good food. You can find most of the Italian wines, drinks and dishes.
I liked the concept of combining food-sharing with Italian cuisine. The interior was very nice and cosy. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was nice and enjoyable, but not exceptional (some of the dishes felt a bit too simplistic). Prices are very...reasonable.More
Diner with our daughter. As we all love Italian food&drinks, this wine-cichetti restaurant seemed a good choice. And we were not disappointed! We love the concept of food-sharing which is typical for this kind of restaurant. Fish-meat-pasta-veggie, everybody can find his favorite here!
I would not rate Maastricht in general as great location for food experience. However, this place offers good food, fine price. Location in the heart of town. Service is good. I recommend and would go there again
A very nice restaurant that offers a variety of good italian dishes. You can share the dishes that makes it possible to taste many different items on the menu. Our favorites are the octopus, pasta with vongole and tiramisu.
Superb restaurant down town at the great Vrijthof Square. A mix of true Italian food, served by very pleasant staff. Cherry picking small dishes from a nice Italian menu. Excellent dinner in a nice place. Well done!
Recommendable lunch spot in the Maastricht city center at the Vrijthof. Delicious sandwiches combined with good wines. Prompt and correct service.
Average restaurant a the Vrijthof. Arancini and the Pannacotta are very good, portions tend to be small.
It all fits together: friendly staff, great wines, a real Italian interior: stylish, classy, and gorgeous photographs, excellent wines and food with a real Italian taste and touch. Never had better Italian food outside Italy. Great concept: smaller portions (tapas) so you can order different...dishes. Great to share. All ingredients are of the highest quality, prepared in a simple way, but as you know: to make it excellent it needs craftsmanship and love and that is absolutely the case in this place. Immediately felt at home and at ease. Will be back very soon. Highly recommended. And those photographs of Sophia Loren..........incredibly beautiful, strong, stylish and enhancing the total feeling. At Il Bacaro they understand life: enjoy the good things! Taste the Tiramisu and you will understand.More
We were with just 2 people, took only a main with drinks, we set there from 19h till 21.30h. We got the dishes with 20min difference, meaning that while a colleague was eating frozen chewy shrimps I was drinking, while I was eating a over...cooked pasta he was looking around. Very uncomfortable situation, we got like 5 different personnel representatives at our table... absolutely disorganized. Definitely not recommend if you want to have a business dinner.More
Went with my family and had a great dinner. We brought our own wine, which was perfect. Because it was a Friday night the service was a bit slow. Still had a great time.
The tapas and the wine are really tasty here!!! It is a great and very cosy and not very expensive restaurant!!! :)
This is a great place for a quick lunch. Very diverse, great tasting anti pasti and sides clearly beat the main courses.
