We went here three times as the food was so great and very authentic. It is just a small family run establishment in an area with more touristy type places. Don't let the simple appearance fool you. It is priced nicely and large portions. A...wonderful experience.More

Great value for money✅ Delicious✅ Lovely service✅ Cash only❌ Family run restaurant. Mama does all the cooking and she is packing some punch with her flavours. Everything we had was homemade, fresh and delicious. We were given Cod Croquettes on arrival and we ordered a...couple of drinks. There had been an earlier demand for Padrons so these went straight on the order. I can’t resist grilled sardines! Starters chosen. Mains a Seabream plus their most basic steak. Both the Bream and Steak came with two cuts of around 200g and the steak had black beans, rice and chips! I leave most restaurants still peckish and last night I left really content. This is a small traditional restaurant in central Porto. The speciality is fish and there is a small but interesting menu. We booked as there aren’t many tables. The food was lovely particularly the fish dishes we chose, the prawns starter and also the padron...peppers. A highlight is the service. One lady only but it was efficient and she was very pleasant. It was cash only which we weren’t told about when we arrived but there is a ATM about 2 minutes walk. I would definitely recommend this for fish lovers.More

We stopped for a late lunch at this delightful mother/daughter restaurant and we’re very impressed by the simplicity but wonderful flavor of the grilled fish. We had the sea bream and sea bass. Go on the early side as they were sold out of some...of the dishes. The desserts were also excellent-try the tarte citron!More

We visited for dinner as daughter-mum catch-up. Perfect choice for authentic flavours, quality and quantity in wide choice of fish dishes, cosy, friendly service and genuine sense of wanting visitors to taste and feel Porto at brilliant best! Unpretentious and an absolute gem!

The best restaurant I’ve been to in Porto. Returned back with friends and colleagues. Everyone was super impressed with the octopus/bacalhau braga/sea bass. Delicious!

This restaurant is run by a mother and daughter. Mother does the cooking and the daughter does front of house. It was so good we went back again during our stay in Porto. First time we had steak as we wanted red wine. We were...urged o come back and try the octopus - I’m so glad we did. It was the best octopus we’ve ever had. So tender. The house wine is good quality, the cost is very reasonable and I would highly recommend you come here for a traditional Portuguese meal.More

Authentic, beautifully prepared Portugese home cooking. Patricia (daughter of mama - the cook) was warm and welcoming. She fit us in even though we didn't have a reservation, in her small, cozy restaurant. We devoured sardines, octupus, steak and cod bacalhau. Patricia hand wrote her...recipe for caramel pudding for me!More

Very convenient to our Airbnb this traditional and weathered ‘cafeteria’ looked very low key from outside but larger than expected inside. They do a wide range of fish dishes. We had sardines which were very good.

This restaurant is excellent in every way of the word! The host, Andrea (and her family), she was kind, sweet, lovely, helpfull and joyful. It's a small restaurant but with star quality. I visited this place with a friend and for the both of us...it was the best fish dish we ever had. Forget the touristic big restaurants on the square and walk to this lovely place, you won't regret it. I can only say positive things about this restaurant.More

My kind of place! Daughter's out front welcoming guests and taking orders while Mama and Auntie are in the kitchen whipping up some amazing dishes. The dining room's super friendly with visitors from all points on earth comparing notes on food, what they'd seen that...day, and where to listen to fado. Rather than order the sea bass or octopus about which I was overhearing rave reviews, I went with a very traditional "Tripas à moda do Porto." Wow! Tender, lean pieces of tripe were accompanied by sausage, beef, and beans in a broth that brought tears to my eyes. A mixed salad for my wife, a large sparkling water, and an excellent bottle of white wine for 9.50€ brought our check to a whopping 37.5€.More
