Excellent authentic Greek cuisine. This was some of the best Greek food we have ever had. Good atmosphere, great staff.

I still cannot forget the moussaka that I ate here. I also tried tzatziki at other places like kebab shops and taverns downtown, here is the best one. The gentlemen helping us were extremely helpful and sincere, we didn't feel like we were tourists here....In stead of pushing for more food, he directed us to stop when we exaggerated and then we saw he was right because we barely could finish our plates since the portions were very big.More

A very friendly and great place to eat traditional Greek food. Loads of fresh specials as well as the regular menu. The owner is a fabulous chap who can’t do enough to make you welcome and enjoy your visit. Sardines and Greek salad was very...tasty to start with a wonderfully tasty moussaka for main. All finished off with a home made sweet. If in Athens this place is a must visit.More

This is the first time I’m writing a review on trip advisor in my entire life, since I don’t really like TripAdvisor. Instead of using this app I asked around in the neighborhood and four different people send me here. Due to globalization and mass...tourism, the old school kitchens in Athens are slowly becoming extinct - not only affordable traditional food but also the atmosphere - the philosophical conversation between guests and host. The experience was more than good food! It is the magic of Greek working class hospitality which is not something you can ‘brand’ or simply buy with a click of a button. You could simply taste the pride and love in the dishes. In my opinion the magic ingredient. Our dining experience at Dyo Dekares I Oka is something that I will hold dear and come back to again and again. Bravo!!More

My wife and I were staying at the King George Hotel and wanted an authentic LOCAL Greek dinner. We found this great restaurant and simply put - the food was stellar. We recommend the grilled Sea Bass and grilled Calamari. The apps were amazing too....Get the white house wine; it was pleasant and pairs well with the food. If you’re looking for a local joint, checkered table cloth, no frills interior BUT amazing food where the locals eat, then look no further.More

Couldn't have been better than it was! Staff were the friendliest I've interacted with in my 5 weeks in Europe, and the food was some of the best I've had in my life, even with a free dessert at the end! We ordered the tzatziki,...vine leaves, eggplant dip, spicy fetta, Greek salad and the meatballs/moussaka/kebabs with yoghurt as our mains and everything was extremely delicious. Fairly priced and a must visit!More

The first night of my arrival to Athens couldn’t have been better when I visited this unassuming place for a delicious meal. I ordered eggplant dip appetizer and the grilled sea bass. The eggplant reminded me of babaganush. It had that wonderful smoked taste that...went well with the toast with herbed olive oil that came with it. And the whole sea bass was unbelievable! Grilled to perfection, it was easy to filet and eat. It came with perfectly steamed broccoli and zucchini. I was in foodie heaven. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu, too. I couldn’t get over that I paid only 33 Euro for the whole meal that included a glass of house white wine! Go to this place for lunch or dinner for a truly Greek meal and experience.More

This restaurant was the highlight of our Athens stay. The staff was super friendly and sweet. They give an amazing complementary dessert (local Greek yogurt with honey)!! Delicious. We ended up second ordering some of the appetizers for how good they were. The owners were...happy that we liked it and they gave us extra in the plate. If you’re looking for good love Greek food, that’s your place.More
