Traditional bakery with lots of choice of bread, savoury pastries and sweet treats. We were lucky and didn’t have to queue (Friday mid morning) Little overwhelming on choice. Well priced and helpful staff.
Delicious pastries in convenient location near the Acropolis museum. Try the baklava you won’t regret it! Line moves quickly but be prepared with your order.
Whatever pastries or baked breakfast items you’re looking for they are here and they’re all good. Don’t be discouraged by the long line, it moves fast.
We came for breakfast and desserts. Pound cake and baklava were amazing. We went across the street to their other location called Drupes Spritzeria. Coffee was excellent. We returned to Drupes in the afternoon for spritzes. Delicious and fun!
My family and I grabbed a quick breakfast at Takis yesterday morning and it was so delicious. As a bit of an afterthought my son wanted to try something else so we asked for two (they were a traditional treat served at weddings) to try...and they gave us four of them on the house! They were delicious as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful!More
This bakery was only a stone's throw from where we stayed, so we visited several time during our stay. We had an opportunity to taste different kinds of baked good and all were very good. There was often a line at the this small bakery,...but it moved quickly.More
Best place for breakfast! Next to the bakery is a coffee shop from the same owners, for the best experience order coffee there and enjoy in the sun sitting outside with best breakfast and coffee you can find in the area.
Fresh daily baked items. We so enjoyed the brownie, and the deli sandwiches made along with poundcake. They have multiple fresh daily breads.
Best little corner bakery off the beaten path. This was recommended by a friend who grew up in Athens. When you go make sure you buy plenty because the bread and cookies are so good. We kept on eating and barely had anything left when...we got back to the hotel.More
Thank god this place was so close to where we were staying. So delicious. The spanakopita and the tiropita were especially delicious.
We did not realize this is rated the best bakery in town. We just happened to see it as we left OK market. It was so good, we went back a second time. A huge line of locals formed behind us. The woman at the...counter was very pleasant though she must work hard. Everything is delicious and authentic Greek. A don’t miss if you are close to the Acropolis museum. It is in a neighborhood area and not the touristy areaMore
We discovered Takis during a recent trip to Athens as we were staying in a nearby hotel. It is only a few minutes on foot from the Acropolis Museum. Having just been back to Athens we did not miss the opportunity to stop by almost...every day! Plenty of locals come here and this is always a great indicator. Wide variety of bread and cookies, all excellent, also to take back home as gifts.More
We went a bit later in the day (around noon) after visiting the Acropolis and I thought the selection was quite limited - perhaps due to the late time. We had a slice of pistachio bread which was quite dry and our brownie was very...greasy. Perhaps we just had bad luck!More
Like it says, an amazing bakery in the Koukaki area, close to the Acropolis. A fantastic selection of breads and pastries - spanakopita, tiropita, prasopita, baklava, bougatsa, ... We took back a lot of the pies home with us.
