Been here twice in a few weeks. The food is good, so is the wine. Staff works hard and is friendly. Some of the tables for two are just very small and when real busy it can be really noisy inside. But the food makes...it all good!More

Those who follow me know I am very stingy with my 5 but this place, although neighborhood oriented, is at the top. The service was great and the food excellent without breaking the bank when the bill came. Thanks for the hospitality, tradition, and food.
We had a nice dinner--very interesting roasted Brussels sprouts with peperoncini sauce appetizer. But while walking through the bar to the restrooms after dinner, I spotted a very large rat on a ledge up behind the back of the bar. A couple of the bar...patrons, on seeing my reaction, asked if I had seen the rat. They notified the bartender, who threw a small something at it. The rat was unafraid and just scampered further down the ledge to the other end of the room.More
I wanted Italian. I really wanted Chicken Parm, but it wasn't on the menu. I had a chicken marsala meal. Don't get me wrong it was good but the potatoes and asparagus were cold. Definitely took away from the meal. the chicken was good and...hot.More
I’ve eaten at various il fornaio branches in the past, was never disappointed. We chose this place to celebrate my twin daughters 10th birthday. Double digit, yay. So I wanted something special. Service wise they are pretty efficient, friendly and polite. I love the chic...ambience of the place. Very Instagrammable from the exterior to the interior. The bathroom is also very clean. Ok now to the food. We ordered three pasta dishes. PACCHERI ALLA VODKA pasta tubes with bacon, vodka-cream-tomato sauce & grana padano - this dish did not disappoint. Go order this. TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE egg pasta ribbons with traditional meat ragu & grana padano - this is pretty bland. Pass on this. Did not even look appetising. TORTELLONI DI ZUCCA ravioli filled with butternut squash, walnuts & grana padano with brown butter tomato sauce; topped with crispy sage & walnuts - the sauce did not look appetising and the squash filled ravioli was took thick. Such a mouthful. Should be combined with something else. Iffy to order this Ok we ordered the kids meal. My gosh, the mac and cheese tasted like water. Bland and tasteless. The pommodoro tasted sour. Pass pass pass on their kiddie meal not worth paying for this. Maybe order an adult size and split into two with someone. They did give two complementary vanilla bean ice cream for my kids birthday. Thank you for accommodating. I hope they improve the taste of their food please. Otherwise I don’t know if I’ll be back. Quiet expensive too.More
Whether it's over seasoned, oversauced, or under cooked I will never go back to this restaurant again. Had always been very good and has certainly gone downhill.
Went here for dinner with the family while on vacation in SF. The entire experience was poor at best. The first waiter didn’t understand what it meant to have a nut allergy and had to call the manager over. He did a good job of...explaining our options, but then we got a new waiter who was more clueless than the first. He didn’t understand half of what I was ordering and didn’t make a note on the order that I requested about the allergy. When our food came, half the order was wrong, requiring the manager to jump in again. When we finally did get the right food, it was average at best and overpriced. And when the bill came, the waiter had to ask me to correct what was wrong. And they didn’t even offer to comp any of the meal. Poor poor customer experience.More
I have been a longtime fan of this restaurant. My family and friends, we have our favorites: the Esmeralda, the Regina salad, the veal dishes, lasagna, pasta a la vodka, their stews, and lovey wine selection. It’s like being somewhere in Italy for a short...time. I hope you will reopen soon!More
We had an early Saturday takeout dinner. The place is pretty occupied for such an early 5 ish dinner hour. I had seafood stew which was very good. Plenty of large scallops, mussels, shrimps . The tomato sauce was very flavorful. Kids had macaroni. They...seem to like it as well.More
Good food, not great food, professional service, nice atmosphere. Proper choice for a special occasion dinner or business lunch.
Had dinner with a colleague here. Admittedly we have this chain in our hometown but we both thoroughly enjoyed the regional menu that is available this week. Everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious!
We had an early dinner before a home concert. We all ordered the salmon special. It came with polenta, which none of us liked. The waiter was very accommodating showing us to substitute with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, or parts at an extra cost. It’s...a beautiful room with convenient nearby parking.More
Our usual restaurant was full, so we tried Il Fornaio for our annual Family Christmas Breakfast. They seated our group of 5 adults and two children with only a short wait. The food was delicious. I had the French Toast and it was great. My...Daughter in Law ordered Chicken Strips for my granddaughters. Their service was superb. I would have given them Five Stars, but my brother's bill was messed up. The manager really apologized and tried to correct he error. I will come back!More
A little on the pricey side, but excellent food all around. Classic Italian ambiance with wait staff that actually speaks Italian.
The place is nicely decorated. I like the ambience. The staff are very nice. Food is great for very resonable price. Price
