We went last night to this restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the food. Very fresh and tasty. It’s a small cosy restaurant so make sure you get down and get a table.

Not easy to find, because there was no indication or name outside. Only 16 seats, so if you're lucky you'll find a place. Friendly and hard working staff. Had a good fish, next to me was someone eating a tasty soup. Good wine too. You can't pay with credit card. I recommend this place.

The food is delicious and prepared by two ladies - the kitchen is right by the bar and you can see them cooking. We had clams, prawns and octopus, all came fresh and very tasty. They only accept cash though.

A small hole-in-the-wall family style restaurant located next to stairs and a small bus stop. It doesn’t have the restaurant name printed anywhere just a “eat drink and be merry” sign stuck on the door. Very small restaurant run by 2 people. Grilled fish is their specialty. I have tried balkalau Braga style with fresh cut potato fries, grilled gouruda, grilled octopus with country potatoes and shrimp in wine sauce. All are excellent. Braga style codfish was my favorite. The fried cod fish balls are tasty. They will bring garlic olives, bread and the codfish balls to your table as starters. You can decline if you don’t want any. It took me 3 dinners to try all of the above. Price was affordable and cooking was unpretentious. It can get a little warm during summer. Come early to avoid the dinner rush crowd.

Visited this place on strength or reviews and was not disappointed.
We started with olives, bachanyau bites and bread (we did not ask for starter specifically but many restaurants in Porto will offer chargeable starters if you order main meal - if you don't want this then you can refuse it)
I went for the grilled Sardines which we're reasonably priced at 8,00 EUR. My friend went with the Octopus which was around 10. Octopus portion could have been lager but the Sardines were plenty! Flavours were great and a real home made touch to the food.
