Our wine tasting at Weingut Richard Boecking was one of the highlights of our entire week in Germany. Our hosts presented us with a wonderful flight of wines ranging from sweet to dry, across each collection. Learning about German wines and vineyards was fascinating, and learning about the history of the winery, including the historic Rittersaal, was above my expectations. The wines were fabulous -- from the least expensive on up! I liked every wine they presented, and loved a few particular bottles that I'll be adding to my wine cellar. It was a really special visit. I highly recommend this winery experience!

A wonderfull place, highly recommended. We came unanounced and where never the less welcomed for a small tasting. We started with the 3 standard wines, due to our interrest we ended up tasting all their best dry wines including their 4 GG wines and getting a tour in the old basement with winebarrels. The wines are not cheap but still a bargain taking the quality into account. We now have a consideral amount of wine that we are looking forward to enjoy

We wanted to do a wine tasting and booked this one based on the reviews from trip advisor. We booked ahead by sending an email, and received confirmation it was all set up. We could choose from 3 different Tastings: 3 wines, 5 wines or 7 wines, all served with bread and water. As we knew little of German wines, we chose 7 wines and were happy we did. It was a great experience to be able to taste differences in the various wines, only based on the location the grape had grown. Christopher explained everything we wanted to know, there was absolutely no rush and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. Suffice to say we bought 7 cases of wine!
Bonus is the building it is situated in, especially the amazing "knight hall".
I would definitely recommend visiting Boecking.

The previous comments made us curious about this Weingut and its wines. After contact by email we were very welcome for a wine tasting session, even during winter (= closure) period. And we were not all disappointed! The reception by Chris was very warm and personal and the wines were excellent! Special thanks from the kids as well for thinking about them. During the coming months, when enjoying the bottles we bought we will certainly remember this nice afternoon and will not doubt to visit the Weingut again if we get the chance to stay in the Mosel-region again. Thank you for this experience and to everyone staying in the region: highly recommended!

What a gem! We have loved the Boecking wines for years! Recently we had the opportunity to visit Traben-Trarbach and this was the highlight! The Boecking Weingut has a wonderful story and is in an amazing renaissance season! I highly recommend visiting the Rittersaal and seeing 13th C Knights hall building for yourself. Enjoy this lovely gem!
