Not surprised it has a 5 star rating.
Beautiful hotel, centrally located. Excellent service. The entire staff was magnificent in their attention. Very pleasant and attentive.
Great restaurant.
Definitely take advantage of tour of hotel and Pico sour making class. They have their own original recipe which is nicely balance and very easy to make. Probably one of the best in Peru.

Dear Roam729705,

Thank you for this 5-star review. The more the better!

Our location is indeed unbeatable but our staff is the real star here. I will share your thoughts on the Pisco Sour making lessons. I am sure they will like them.

We were lucky to stay in this amazing hotel for 2 nights -- on either end of a trip to Machu Picchu. Everything about the hotel was first class. There was what you'd expect -- beautiful rooms, excellent food (you must eat the brunch), comfortable bedding, in a gorgeous building that was converted from a historical landmark. But what sets this hotel apart was the incredible service we received. Every person who worked there went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. My daughter had sprained her ankle on an earlier leg of the trip, and the concierges tried valiantly to get her an air cast, even arranging for a driver to take my husband to a market where one might have been purchased. They also arranged for laundry service and advanced money for this, which we reimbursed on our return from Machu Picchu. We couldn't have asked for more and wished we could have stayed longer.

Palacio del Inka was crucial piece in the amazing experience we had in our trip to Peru. The hotel is not only beautiful, but it's service and staff is beyond spectacular. We spent 3 nights there, (1 and then 2) and when we left after the first night, we accidentally forgot our documents and some cash in our room's safe. We noticed our belongings were missing when we were on our way to the Sacred Valley and called the hotel, were the staff told us they already had our things and since we were spending that night on a fellow hotel (Tambo del Inka), they managed to send our stuff that same day. When we got them, everything was there!
Breakfast is amazing, specially the pastries and the tea bar, which I absolutely loved! We were served coca leaves tea 24/7 to avoid height sickness, were greeted by every single staff member and employee at all times. We called in advance to let them know we were celebrating our anniversary, so they upgraded us to a beautiful balcony suite.
Food at the bar was also amazing, and we even got recommendations from the bar tender. I would like to specially thank Don Goyo for all his attentions and advises during our stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to go back.

From the moment you enter the Hotel lobby and walk to the reception desk, you can see and feel that this is not an ordinary hotel. The furnishings, the sky-light and the flooring are all high-end features of this former Peruvian palace that has been turned into a high-end hotel. We have been to other high-end hotels before (Kimpton, Intercontinental, Shangri-La, etc.) and we have have found that Placio del Inka is in a class of its own because it does have that "Peruvian Palace" feeling about this place.

The Hotel is conveniently centrally located in Cuzco - about 10-minutes walking distance to the Plaza de Armas Cuzco, Qorikancha ruins and other popular tourist sites within central Cuzco.

The standard Hotel room was adequately sized and has comfortable premium bedding, work desk, easy chair and nice bathroom.

The Hotel restaurant area is spread-out into several adjoining rooms with different waiters serving the different seating areas. Both the service and food was good. However, with so many other good restaurants in central Cuzco, we only ate the complimentary breakfast buffets and only one dinner at the Hotel restaurant.

Overall, the Palacio del Inka Hotel is an excellent choice visiting Cuzco.

Dear Gordon T,

I took a lot of pleasure reading through this thorough review. It covers our hotel's local charm and an unbeatable location - only steps away from the main square. Let us not forget our cuisine - specially adapted to this location with creole influences.

We hope to be able to serve you once again in the near future.

On my first visit to Cusco I was so fortunate to had the good fortune of landing a room at this fabulous hotel. The staff was so friendly and kind. I had a trip planned to Machu Picchu and the staff allowed me to store my luggage in between my stays. The concierge staff especially Gerard was easy to talk to and helpful about places to visit in Cusco. The breakfast they offered was delicious and the choices were varied and tasty. The weight room was very well stocked for a low impact workout; although if you want a space for high intensity aerobics or weightlifting it’s not that kind of space.
Finally, my room was so well stocked with towels and cleaned in a timely manner; it felt like a second home. I can not recommend this hotel enough.
