We visited Nederburg on our scenic wine tour from our cruise ship. Arriving at 9.30 am we were ushered into a classy room with small tables set out with three glasses and a bucket to deposit undrunk wine after tasting. We were given a very interesting and informative talk by a guide then invited to tased six different wines from the low to higher price range of those on an impressive price list of over thirty wines. At that time in the morning it takes a bit of mental blocking to really have a good taste but we managed and were very impressed. We know this company's wines from back home although had no idea they make such a wide range. As always on tours of this kind time is short and I was slightly disappointed to discover too late that I might well have been able to buy some wine and have it shipped home. I am still wondering if it really could be true to have any amount over 18 bottles shipped home for free as a "seasonal offer". The tour of the winery and cellars was awesome in scale and demonstrates just what a huge business wine must be to SA. Well worth a longer visit.

The food was well prepared and presented. We ordered a variety of dishes for the four of us and were delighted with the interesting presentation, the taste , and the service.

We did the cellar tour and wine tasting. The entire experience was lovely, very glad we did it. We received complimentary bubbly on arrival. Thereafter we were taken into the tasting room. The host was very informative and gave great detail on the history of the winery and the wines. Wine selection for the tasting was excellent as it included premium wines as well. Cellar tour was also interesting, would be nice to go back during harvest season.

Great selection of wines, friendly and engaging staff. Great in late March-April, food selection is the limited to great dishes, dessert menu is a bit limited but I opted to indulge in expanding my wine taste buds. Fantastic outside dining, very romantic setting under the oak trees catching the last sunlight rays!

We're people of "reds" so we have known and enjoyed Nederburg wines for a long time. Beautiful blends!

We were the first visitors of that day :) Dropped in just from the airport. Lovely lady Annijika (please correct the spelling if wrong!) took us for a tour around the winery, showed the cellar and the production centre. Actually it was a private tour! We were so lucky! She gave a lot of detailed information about the company, wines, grapes, terroir, history, stories behind everyday hard work of the Team. Everything was very interesting and we learnt a lot of new things. The history behind today's success was long (226 years long!), sometimes painful.

The Winery and the Team along with the Leaders and the Creators at the top are highly deserve all the World' and local rewards and admiration around the Globe!

After the informational tour we had a wine tasting. Of course we preferred their reds but it was amazing to taste some of their whites - we ended up with purchasing some bottles for home :)

Great wines! Amazing people behind! Keep on shinning brightly!

Cheers! :)
