We returned to taste the wines the day after we had a wonderful meal at Nederburg. It was a Saturday afternoon and the winery was not overcrowded. This meant that we had time to sample a good range of wines and we were given time to enjoy the large samples on our own.

The little snacks were good and the wines were a delight. We bought four bottles to take back to UK - wine that we can't get back home.

Overall I would recommend this wine Tasting more than many others because the setting is lovely and their attention to detail is superb. We were also left to our own devices with the bottles which allowed us to really compare and contrast !!!

Superlatives fail me here! We opted for this winery because Nederburg is one of our favourite South African wines widely available in Canada. Our knowledgeable and personable guide Annetjie gave us a comprehensive tour of the production and storage facilities prior to our tasting. Harvest was imminent and workers were being selected and oriented. As other reviewers have observed, this is wine operation on a Herculean scale. Quantity does not compromise quality as our sampling clearly indicated. Our only regret was having our own time constraints which curtailed our investigative quest of the entire product line. However, there was still time for the purchase of a couple bottles not offered at home. If you only visit one winery, please give this one your careful consideration.

At Home we can get the basic range of Nederburg. Years ago we visited Nederburg so we decided to go back again this time. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling by Trevor. He guided us through the executive tasting and so we discovered some really interesting Nederburg wines. I will try to get them back home. We will visit again

This was a place that I always wanted to visit. It was an extremely hot day and we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We chose to do the cheese and wine pairing and was pleasantly surprised at the layout of their presentation. They have a great variety of wines to choose from. We were given the rundown of the wines we were to taste along with the accompanying cheese. We were also given a short story of the community project making bicycles by a group of all women. I wanted to try a pinotage on the list and the guy happily obliged without making a fuss and we ended up buying 2 bottles of the pinotage. He also gave us a quick tour of the area that was used to host Masterchef. There is a museum that documents the history of the wine farm from the time it began which is really interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed this place, will happily recommend this place.

We visited Nederburg on our scenic wine tour from our cruise ship. Arriving at 9.30 am we were ushered into a classy room with small tables set out with three glasses and a bucket to deposit undrunk wine after tasting. We were given a very interesting and informative talk by a guide then invited to tased six different wines from the low to higher price range of those on an impressive price list of over thirty wines. At that time in the morning it takes a bit of mental blocking to really have a good taste but we managed and were very impressed. We know this company's wines from back home although had no idea they make such a wide range. As always on tours of this kind time is short and I was slightly disappointed to discover too late that I might well have been able to buy some wine and have it shipped home. I am still wondering if it really could be true to have any amount over 18 bottles shipped home for free as a "seasonal offer". The tour of the winery and cellars was awesome in scale and demonstrates just what a huge business wine must be to SA. Well worth a longer visit.
